Åsa's research focus is within the field of Co-design: developing knowledge and methods of co-creation that affect the context of using/experiencing design, and the process of materialising design. It includes the role and responsibility of the designer for the user experience , the inclusion of marginalised users (norm-creative design/ inclusive design), for creative and innovative outcomes (design thinking) and social responsibility (social sustainability) knowledge and methodology for different contexts such as products, services, systems, places and spaces.
