Classroom Vs. Classroom
Organize an event wherein each class would create a basketball team. Have each team battle each other and the winner will be judged
base on the following criterion:
1. Net Income Generated from the whole event: Do anything to generate income for your class as long as it is legal. (50%) All must
exceed a net profit of 300php for every student in your class (If you have 40 students= 40x300=12K net profit). Highest earne r above
the quota would get 50pts, 2nd place 40, 3rd 35, 4th 30 and 5th 25. {Below the quota, you get 0 even if it is only a 1 centavo loss}
Fraud=automatic 5.00 to your sem grade. We are not raising thieves at PLP. Receipts should be provided as proof.
2. Having The champion team would give you 25pts, 2nd place 20, 3rd 15, 4th 10 and last place 5.
3. 25% would come from documentation. You will need raw data for each event/games. An MTV like format to narrate the events, and a
1 minute advertisement. Audited FS (Contact Karen Jane Servidad Cura). All classrooms shall soft bind their room's documentation
using a CBA yellow cover sheet. Be creative. You are marketing students.
FAQ
1. Where should the games be held? Each team would have a home-court anywhere within Pasig. Whenever games shall be held at
their home-court, they are in charge of all the expenses there. If a game shall be forfeited due to cancellations, the home -court team
would suffer all the loss. So try to avoid baranggay courts.
2. How can we generate income? Can be by ticket sales, food sales, ads, sponsorships, etc. All should be legal.
3. Are we allowed to solicit funds? No! Automatic 50 grade and your team is disqualified. (Solicitation includes asking money from the
politicians, baranggay reps, parents and relatives)
4. Do we need to hire a professional referee? Yes.
5. Where can we get our players? 10 Players can be recruited from any CBA course with at least 6 units enrolled. 1 from the CBA-alumni,
and 1 from LOA-CBA students. All recruited players shall submit a letter of intent with their OSL photocopy stapled with the
letter and a clearance from JAEMEX that they are a member of good standing. LOA-CBA students should provide instead a photocopy
of their LOA form. The alumni needs to provide any proof of their status. Kickout students can replace the alumni slot.
From the set of these players, all 5 classrooms shall draft players from the pool. Draft lottery order shall be determined by the class
presidents of each classroom.
6. What if fighting occurs between players? Automatic disqualification of the player that started the first punch. Anyone that retaliates is
disqualified. All bench clearing cases shall result to an automatic disqualification of the said players. It is therefore up to each class to
rein in their wards. Tie them up if you have to. If they lack players to continue the game, their team forfeits the series an d they get an
automatic 0. If these occurs, all that are involved in the fighting shall be immediately be reported to the branggay then to the police for
inquest (slight physical injuries will be the weakest charge here). (Sira ang NBI clearance niyo after nito... bwahahaha) Bawal ang pikon
sa business... matatalino mga taga PLP and mga tanga lang ang napipikon.
7. Can we 4th year play? Yes. But you will be included in the draft and be ready to be drafted by other sections and battle your own
team.
8. Can we trade drafted players? Yes. Either by players or monetary or service concessions. All monetary trades shall be refl ected on
your FS.
9. When should we start? I don't care when. As long as you submit all the requirements on time, I am ok with it. You are mana gement
students also... so manage it.
10. Would the players be excused if ever they have classes? No.
11. Do the players need uniforms? Yes. The classroom shall shoulder the expenses.
12. Where will the profit go? All profit shall be combined. 10% would go to charity of the winner's choice (Document this), 1 5% would go
to JAEMEX, 40% to the Champions, 15% 2nd place, 10% 3rd, 7% 4th placer and 3% to the 5th placer.
13. Is there a trophy? Before dividing the profit, a trophy shall also be bought. (Design of it shall be presented to the adviser)
14. Should there be an opening ceremony? Of course. No basketball league shall be compl ete without muses and a bunch of guys
walking in circles.
15. How should the games be organized? The teams will have to play a single round robin game. The top 2 shall battle for a be st of 3
finals with the number 1 team enjoying a twice to beat advantage. A single game shall be played for the battle for third.
