Short Bio for Arietha Lockhart, Soprano Summer of 2010

1. Arietha Lockhart, at home in both the Opera, Oratorio and Concert settings has
performed the roles of Zerbinetta (Ariadne) at the Aspen Music Festival Opera Theatre,
the roles of Mary and Alpha Angel in Sharon Willis’ Christmas opera (3kings and a
Prince) and Queen of the Night (Magic Flute) at Opera Panama. She has won many
awards and prizes and has frequently performed world premiers of new works by
contemporary American and Women Composers. A music educator, Arietha is active in
the Atlanta Alumni Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon and Music at Solid Rock AME Zion
