2. BEST TIME
• Rates change from day to day and season to season, the
sooner you check for pricing the better it will be down the
road. Since prices change from day to day, you might get a
better deal checking in at 30 days before the flight compared
to 35 days before the flight, however don’t wait too long or you
will get no deal.
3. OPTIMAL VALUE
• Pricing definitely depends on where you live and where you
are going. However pricing about 7 weeks before departure is
best and goes down hill within the last 2 weeks of booking.
• Best pricing is within 3-4 months before travel unless it is a
holiday and that’s whole different game.
4. INTERNATIONAL
• If you are traveling to Europe or abroad, the best time to travel
is February and March, to get the best deal book your flight
even sooner.
• When traveling international be sure to look at baggage fees
from your chosen airlines, it may have you packing differently
than you would otherwise.
5. DESTINATION
• If there are several airports near your destination, you have options
as to your travel itinerary and will get cheaper pricing by commuting
to other planes.
• There are other options such as breaking up your group or family for
better pricing than requesting the same section, but that isn’t usually
family friendly, but still cheaper.
