Surprise! Showing professionalism and individuality on social media are not mutually exclusive. This misconception prevents both leaders and employees from seeing the real value of social media in business (and I mean the good stuff). That’s my philosophy for advising and training employees as part of the SAS Corporate Social Media Team. A lot comes down to basic common sense, like courtesy: thanking people for the follow or retweet.
