Accommodation for Foreign Students
• Upon the AIT campus being inundated on 21st October, the
Thai AIT alumni at King Mongkut University of Technology
Thonburi – KMUTT (one of which being the Chairwoman of
Dormitory Committee) provided temporary dormitory
accommodation for more than 120 AIT students on short
notice.
• Moreover, the Thai AIT alumni at King Mongkut Institute of
Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) offered free use of ample
teaching spaces and facilities (fully furnished and fully
equipped) but the offer was turn down by AIT admin for the
remote universities campuses at Hua Hin and Petchaburi.
13. 7) Sponsoring Special
Publication on AIT Day
2010 (7th September 2010)
AITAA-Thailand helped AIT in
making the special publication.
Normally the host like AIT would
let the newspaper manage
solicitation of sponsors upon the
lists of business counterparts
given. In that respect, the
advertisement would occupy half
of the total space. But AITAA-
Thailand took over the sponsoring
campaign by taking sponsorship
from business firms managed by
Thai Alumni only. By this way the
advertisement occupied only 1/8
of the space and it was a good PR
for AIT having alumni in big
business enterprises.
15. Other contributions in cash
• There are donations made by individual
alumni in person and in group directly to AIT,
the details of which can be seen in the AIT
website.
