1. MOOD BOARD – SCI-FI
MYSTERY SHORT FILM

2. STORYLINE
The storyline of this film will involve 3 main protagonists. The film starts in
an alleyway where one of the characters is struck by lightning and wakes up
realising he has powers. During this time the camera will split into 3 split
screens showing the other characters who got the power. After this they
will all go to school the next day and realise that each of them have
powers.

3. CHARACTERS
There will be 3 main protagonists featuring one female and two
males. The 3 characters wake up with superpowers and this will be
shown in the film by splitting the screen into 3. The reason we used 3
characters is to show off our editing skills as we can make different
powers for each character.

4. SETTINGS
There will be 3 main settings including an alleyway, a house and at
the school.​
-The alleyway is where the main character gets struck by lightning
and gains his powers.​
-The house is where the characters live​
-The school is where they all realize that everyone has powers.

5. MOOD
The film must look dark and mysterious to make the audience feel
that it is a sci-fi film, however by incorporating some comedic effects
it will change the mood of the audience at times. This will allow it to
target a larger audience.

6. PROPS
Costumes for the group can be everyday clothes as we want the
audience to know that these students are just normal people who got
the powers out of nowhere.​
Props will be hard to get as we do not have the funds to get sci-fi
props, however by getting props such as a mug it will allow us to use
them however we want.
