State of the Union?

I started watching the State of the Union not knowing much about it at all, because my
historical background, so if I write something completely wrong, please excuse me for being
politically illiterate.
I liked how the video showed multiple graphs and visual aspects involved with the
beginning of the video, they helped me (as a math minded person) understand what is happening
in today’s society. For example, around three minutes into the SOTU there was a graph that
showed the decrease in GDP deficit from 9.2% to 4.1%. Mainly what I understood for the next
fifteen minutes is that the President is working to help make new jobs available, send kids to
college, and protect workers. Further on, Obama speaks about a higher budget for medical
research, cleaner emerge, and more Americans in the workforce. He goes on to explain a
program that will connect 99% of kids to high-speed internet, who need it for education. After
that he declares that women should make equal pay for equal work, and he wants to reduce the
earnings between men and women.
