1. Vajreshwari Temple, Vajreshwari
The main gate entrance have a drum
house and the temple is surrounded by a
stone wall . Fifty-two stone steps are
climbed to reach the main gate. A tortoise
of golden colour is carved on one of the
steps and worshipped as Kurma, since the
the tortoise represents the lord
Vishnu.Also,the main temple consists of
three sections that is the main inner
sanctum (Garbha g?ha), another sanctum
and a pillared mandapa (assembly hall).
The Grabhagriha consists of six idols.

2. General Information
• The saffron idol of goddess Vajreshwari have a sword and a mace in her right
and left hands and a trisula besides her. Murtis of goddess Renuka with both a
sword and a lotus in her hands, goddess Saptashrungi Mahalakshmi of Vani
and a tiger, goddess Vajreshwari's vahana to the left of goddess Vajreshwari.
On her right side are the murtis of goddess Kalika (the village goddess) with a
lotus and a kamandalu and Parshurama who contains an axe are stood aside
her. All the goddesses are dressed with silver jewelry, crowns and stand on
silver lotuses and are sheltered by silver umbrellas. The small temple outside
the Garbhagriha has idols of Ganesha, Bhairava, Hanuman and Moraba devi.
The entering hall consists of a bell, for which the devotees can ring when
entering the temple. A Yajna kunda is created outside the entering hall.
The temple celebrates Navaratri as the mahothsav(nine nights dedicated to
worship of Hindu Goddesses) once from the first day of fortnight of waxing
moon of Hindu month of Chaitra (March) to the ninth day of Ram Navami and
then from the first day of the bright half of the Hindu month of Ashvin
(October) to the 10th day Vijayadashami.
