6. The people didn’t go for any evaluation, except when a doctor sent them for blood or urine tests. Until I reached 25 years of age, I addressed every policemen and man as Sir, and every women as Miss or Missis.
7. Only the pigeons and rabbits had a mate, not men and women. In my time if a woman got on the bus, the youngsters were the first to stand up and offer their seats.
8. The women got out of the elevator first, and we held the chair till she was seated. A men always greeted a women by standing up, opened the auto or any other for her, and helped to take off her coat.
9. In my time, the virginity did not cause cancer, it was a proof of the families morality and chastity toward her husband. Our life was ruled by the Ten Commandments, common sense and respect for the law and elderly . We were taught to see the difference between right and wrong and that we are responsible for our deeds and their consequences.
10. An earnest association meant that we were in good relationship with all our relatives and friends. The wireless connection was unheard of, let alone the cellular phone.
11. We newer heard of; stereo music, short wave radio , casettes , CD, DVD, electronic typewriters , computers, ( not to mention the notebooks ). A "notebook" was a plain excer c isebook.
12. The watches were wound up daily . Nothing digital existed. There weren’t any : automatic bank machines , microwave ovens and timed radios, to wake you up to music. There was no video recorder or video c amer a either .
13. Instantly developed color photos did not exist . There were only black and white pictures, and for developing we had to wait 3 days at best. We never heard of Pizza Hut or McDonald, nor instant caffe or, artifical sweeteners.
14. In my time, the grass used to be mowed, not smoked. We were the last generation who believed that in order to get pregnant a woman needed a man.
