About
Amelia Bumsted, BA, BS, RN, CRRN, CIC. As an infection preventionist for a freestanding inpatient rehabilitation facility with over 6 outpatient locations and several outpatient and clinic venues on campus in the suburbs of Chicago, Ms. Bumsted has been the project-leader for her facility's post-acute care response to the Ebola threat. Building upon her academic studies of the continuum of care, Amelia joins Dr. Tomich at Rush University Medical center for her DNP capstone project—examining the infrastructure necessary to support the control of emerging infection-related healthcare system stressors such as Ebola.
