3. CONTRACT LABOUR LAW: CONVINCING WORKERS, EMPLOYERS Proposal for amendments in labourlaws by labour ministry for the benefit of contract labour. Same benefits should be extended to contract labour such as equal wages, PF, ESI, holidays etc. Employers opposed it by saying that giving privilegs to contract labour can act as disincentive to the industry to employ.
