FOUNDATION
I. Character of Love
Revelations 2:4 references Jesus talking about man's “first love”, and the significance of that love
above the tremendous works the church of Ephesus had done. They lacked one thing: Their first love.
It is reminiscent of the verse back in Deuteronomy 6:5 of the age-old commandment: “Love the Lord
your God will all your heart, all your soul, all your might.” In Matthew 22:37, Jesus includes the term
“mind” in the same command. In the days of the Israelite's in the wilderness, God had made a whole
way of life the His people. He gave them community, He gave them food, he gave them leadership, but
he went further. He created for them structure, he gave them law, he gave them significance, purpose,
and duty. It this place, a most sacred sense of the presence of God (or holding things sacred, and of
reverence). But it was a purposeful reverence. Prior to these events, God had essentially the asked the
Israelite permission to enter into a covenant with them. It was a long-term commitment, one the Jews
did see see the immensity of in that day. But they had seen God's “devouring fire” image of the glory
of the LORD on the top of the mountain (Exodus 24:17). They had all been with God in a very deep
experience. In the case of Moses, we specifically see that God revealing Himself made a permanent,
genuine, life-long change in Moses, though about a generation had passed in that process of
transformation.
Look at the results of the Israelite's seeing the evidences of God work in their midst. They took
on a way of life consistent with the redemption they had in the heritage of their people. Their lifestyle
was lived out often by faith. Of course, coming out of four hundred years of slavery would sustain
habits of expecting food and meager accommodations, but their were always fed, and taken care of.
They had no human king, dictator, president, or parliament – but God, and his prophet (who they knew
as such). People were on almost equal terms with one another. What I collect from events of ancient
history is that people were far more committed to spirituality. It also suggests a connection to the
magnitude of events of different nations. But the difference in the nation of the Jews – their accounts
are that YAHWEY Himself did the actions. Sure, man had acted out the directions of God in some
cases, but it was God that defied the laws of physics...
What my ambition here is to make is beliefs determine the actions man takes. Ultimately, of the
Creator of the universe. What other objective source is there out there to depend upon? What other
entity has been present since before the heavens and the Earth? Lets take it down a theological notch.
What about just trusting in something greater then us? Holding to something grander then ourselves,
our company, cities, nation, heritage, or presupposition. What if the majority of the world being
spiritual gives them a view into things has keep them reverent and adhering to the principles that their
beliefs suggest as the application? Is life more then our biological, physical presence here? And if it is,
should that not be the foundation of every detail of our lifestyles. Is separating beliefs from economy
wise, even though Webster's 1828 dictionary defines belief as simply a perception of the Truth, or a
theory. It is not true that we all have belief, or to use another, term: faith, active in our lives
somewhere? Is it even possible to function without faith? Acting on an idea requires faith that the
outcome of that idea will be realistically with perceived boundaries.
A. Jesus means new LIFE
For most who fall under the designation of "Gentile" (by Jewish terminology), the only way into the
Kingdom of God is through His Son Jesus. But Scripture makes it clear that Jews are not exempt from
going through the Son either. In fact, Jesus rebuked those who would otherwise throughly qualified to
enter into the full Kingdom of God – but they submitted to the letter of the law, and not the Spirit.

II. Hope
Finally, spirituality is the only place hope exists. This is not a physical, tangible object. This simple
little word is the source of the perseverance of much of humanity.
FOUNDATION
III. Revival
Revival has historically happened as individuals cry out for God to meet them. Revival is first and
foremost: internal. But sometimes it takes external experiences to penetrate internally. Revival means
God's glory is coming to Earth directly. God alone makes this happen. Hearts feel it if they are, at
some level, open to it. It is often fierce. The first revival was at Pentacost. Boldness and confidence
were characteristics mentioned of those affected. Thus the church began. By fire from heaven.
Scripture records three thousand came into the kingdom by their witness. No buildings, no liturgy,
robes, pews – just an openly-present testimony of Truth front-lined by a follower of three years who
had betrayed his leader. His heart was already changed before this “falling of fire” event, but this fire
and wind brought the capacity of boldness in delivery of his message. The Apostles (found in Matthew
10:2-4, Mark 3:14-19, and Luke 6:13-16): Peter, Andrew, James and John, Philip, Bartholomew,
Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon (called the Zealot), Judas (the son of James), and
Judas Iscariot. They were brothers of an intimate discipleship, having a teacher, leader, and Messiah to
unite them in a new way of life. Peter, having witnessed Jesus die and entombed, went back to his old
profession: fishing. How would fishing spread the message of the Kingdom? The text doesn't go into
detail, but it appears he needed a little more leadership. Thomas still lacked faith after three years
witnessing miracles and powerful words, he said: "...Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails,
and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe."
(John 20:25b) Though Jesus said, “...My kingdom is not of this world...” He also prayed in another
occurrence: “...I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil
one.” (John 17:15) Jesus has called His church to a higher standard....

Kingdom Society – My Exposure
1. Youth With A Mission
I have come to witness a revolutionary atmosphere on the face of the Earth in my lifetime.
It began in late 2009. It began with a presence of an old friend on facebook, who I had heard was
doing well. She began to tell me about the program she had gone through in this organization called
“Youth With A Mission” - I had hardly heard of it. But I became interested due to the change I saw in
her. I saw my first major obstical - $5200. In my current situation of working part-time, and in-and-
out of community college, my bank account balance was not weighty. I became, realistically, doubtful.
But as I talked with the school leaders over the phone, they told me to “go ahead with it”... I wasn't
able to raise the funds I needed, but I put my goal at getting to the school. When the time came, It was
across the state for me, an exciting endeavor... I witnessed an authentic welcome, genuine people, and
a deep sense of peace. I learned so many things that I assumed I would already have known having
grown up in the church, as the son of a pastor. But I was seeing it laid out in a brand new fashion. It
was a challenge, felt a discipline – but a good discipline. I felt challenged, and was at times tempted to
quit. But something in me told me to finish. It was a lifestyle I was being introduced to, a fully-
immersive way of life. Everything I am, every I do. It was here I found the beginning an intimate
relationship with Christ I had not experienced before. I witnessed all my tuition money come in from
an unexpected source – an example of the faithfulness of God, whom I asked to fulfill the need.
2. Kingdom of God
I returned in the next season to my “neck of the woods” in Spokane Wa. I would spend some time with
my grandfather there. I felt compelled to join a church I had visited a couple of times before. It was of
the same Spirit! I witnessed a passion and a joy from Jesus that I hadn't seen before, and the group
were desiring to spread this passion and joy outwards. The sermons were “unorthadox” - of affecting
the city of Spokane, of reaching out in the civil government, and the like. I would attend another
school later on with “Youth With A Mission”, entitled: “School of The Bible”. This gave me depth of
exposure to concepts of theology, church history, and philosophical principles. But the core was the
same – it was Jesus. The main revelation was relationship with people. I took a year away. I fell back
into the assumed activities of society, (keeping, of course, constant communion with the church), but
lost the perspective of the immersive, intense atmosphere of this community of whose gaze is
intimately locked on Jesus. Yet I found God at work in other places. God was moving powerfully
outside of the box, I assumed was the force leading the pack. But even YWAM needs the help and
support of the church! YWAM missionaries are not just appreciative of the prayers and support of the
church – they need it! Yet God is behind all the help, inspiring those who choose to partner with those
missionaries.
3. Kingdom Society Principles
I came back to do another school. This school laid out the foundations of the pattern I had begun to see
emerging. It defined the divine institutions of government: Home, church, and civil government. It
was introduced that these principles uniquely present in YWAM, intense parachurch training
organizations, and other small inititives that they are to be the standards of society. They are Biblical
principles, used due to their explicit presence in Scripture – for which all Christians hold as the
preeminent, binding policy of the Kingdom of God. Principles like Self-government (most closely
related to “self-control”) the principle of respecting other peoples property, cleaning up after oneself,
etc. Basic principles in theory, but society at large is not following the rules of which ought to be
learned at an early age. Due to the internal, self-government activity each individual operates in, very

little external *civil* government is nessasary. There are no police or security on YWAM bases. There
is, miraculously a trust that made among, staff, and students. In the circumstance of an infringement of
these commandments, God actually convicts the conscience of the individual, and the individual makes
the situation right. See, the whole community of people love Jesus, and are spending much of their day
learning about Him, talking with Him, and teaching through Him. It is only natural to let these
principles act out in the informal activities of doing laundry when the room is full, and no one has
cleaned it. The individual loves others by cleaning up voluntarily for the next person. As these things
were taught, I found I needed to make trips into town for dental appointments, mechanic visits, grocery
trips, and a weekly commute to church. These succinct outings have always had an uncomfortable
feeling for me, as I know I am leaving the warmth and security of the Christ-centered community, and
entering “the world”. Even so, I notice the principles that are held as the rules in YWAM bases are
standards that are much higher then the rest of “the world”.
I find myself now cleaning up restroom counter-tops subconsciously at restaurants, and
collecting garbage from the ground as I see it. But is YWAM, or para-church organizations' training
programs the cause of this new moral sensitivity? Are these actions trained into the minds of
missionaries, and Christians as a means of accomplishing their ministries? Or is the training a ministry
Jesus is administering through different programs, as a means of opening up new paths for the TRUTH
to spread wider. Virtues are taught in YWAM, and penalties are given for lack of cooperation, in rare
cases – people are sent home. But much grace is given in the training, and the method from which we
receive instruction more thoroughly.

Here is an abstract of an essay I wrote entitled “Mental, Social, and Physical Well-being”
What does the whole person consist of? Is he simply a mass of biological organs, endoskeletal
frame, and a nervous system to sense impulses? What are the invisible elements? What part does
the mind play, and how is the soul interwoven inseparably to both of them? How is a healthy
lifestyle defined? Is a physically fit individual with little mental capacity and social interaction
actually healthy? What does the Bible say regarding each of these elements? Finally, how do each
of these very separate components actually work together seamlessly and efficiently without our
conscience effort?

PEOPLE
• Constituents of Society
It is individuals who make up society. They are the life blood, muscle, and imaginative genius that
makes the different fields in society even worth it. People are the source of work, and the end users of
it's fruit. It is people who have the ability to react not only out of instinct, but reasoning, will and,
subsequently, an emotional experience or nostalgia like no other living organism. All of the other
biological kingdoms we call “living”, but our one human race has spiritual elements that we ourselves
are aware of. The animal kingdom operates with “instinct”, meaning a pre-programmed set of
responses, based on an action. Yet the variety of responses available is far beyond that of computer
software. So much so, that we question whether animals have emotions after-all. And beyond them,
the plant kingdom operates with less expression, responding exclusively on their environment, and
those humans and animals it in.
I. Cultivation of the Earth
(a) Existence and Life
Though apes have had a popular place in Hollywood films, apes have never really created their own
civilization as we see them today. They simply continue to swing from limb to limp in the jungles,
happily existing. People have advanced and cultivated the atmosphere of Earth, and in fact, the moon
and space. Man has the exclusive spiritual capacity to know our own existence, the development of
language, a civil organization of existence. Let's make a distinction between “existence”, and “life”.
Existence has the root word of “exist”, and referring merely to a state of being. There was a movie that
came out a while back entitled “Source Code” in which actor Jake gyllenhaal played a “consciousness”
trapped inside the ragged remains of a helicopter pilot. He was inoperable on the physical level – but
he was unaware he was wasn't “all there”.
There is something about man that is special. Ecclesiastes 3:11b ESV says “...He (God) put
eternity into man's heart...” But the verse doesn't end there. It continues to state that “...so that he
cannot find out what God has done from beginning to end.” The assessment that can be concluded here
is the same factor that elevates us above the plant and animal kingdoms and enables us to observe and
explore the cosmos is also the same factor that inhibits us from seems the full ramifications of God's
work from beginning to end. Now, it may be of interest to know what “...from the beginning to the
end...” means in this verse. Is it the beginning to the end of human? Of Earth? Or does the verse
imply the beginning to the end of God? In Genesis 1:26, and again in verse 28, God gave man
dominion over: the fish, the birds, the livestock, all the earth, and every creeping thing that creeps on
the earth. Verse 28 repeats this while adding a significant factor: “...Be fruitful and multiply and fill the
earth and subdue it...”
Are you seeing the pattern here? Many theory’s today are concluding man is to submit to the
environment, and be dependent on it's seasons, and elements. But what about the Creator scripture
talks so often about in Genesis? The Creator created man and put Him in a beautiful garden.
(b) Elementally Formed
Here is the beginning of man in the record of Scripture: “Then the LORD God formed the man of dust
from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.”
Look at the pieces here: “...Then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground...” This
implies that man was fully formed at this point, (made of Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen,

Calcium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sulfur, Sodium, Chlorine, and Magnesium - all elements presumed to
still be in the Periodic Table today) and it is assumed from simple consecutive text that he was not
moving. But is it possible to perceive in this verse that man could have been capable of moving at this
point (much like the animals were at this point), but because the breath of Life was breathed into him in
the consecutive verse, we assume he first had not any capacity of activity at that point? My theory is
that man existed prior to receiving the breath of life. He was capable of doing all of the biological
functions the plant and animal kingdom creatures were capable of. But God had a special purpose in
mind for him. The text begins with God creating man in His own image. This, I take to mean capacity
of reasoning, ability to originate action, and emotion in order to experience. And He had the second
element of a person already: the human body. But one thing was missing. This “breath of Life”. What
is it? His spirit perhaps? If so, what is that? The Greek word for wind is numa, and is often associated
with Spirit. Interesting. Air is the real essence of a person then? Gas is declared as a “state” in the
periodic table. We consider it apart of the physical realm. But what about this air was different?
My point is merely to make some interesting discussion of the internal element of man.
II. Kingdom family
A. Mind, Will and Emotion
Man began created by God, this is clearly the case according to Genesis. But why then is evil so quick
to develop in the hearts of man. The question is raised: is God the author of evil? Let's revisit the
image of God: Mind, will, and emotion. Will, we said, was defined as the ability of a person to
originate his own action. The options open to will have to be in multiple directions in order for will to
be true. Part of the conscience built into man's mind determines what is right and wrong. Reason
precedes will here. An act without the knowledge of it's being wrong cannot be called sin. Sin,
therefore, has to be intentional.
(b) Free Will
So God created man, he created him in a state of absolute freedom. One command was given in
“restrictive” fashion, but would not necessarily have felt to man as restrictive, since man knew only
life, and relationship from God at this point. Such a command would have simply the response of “Yes
Father.” Man didn't have any reason not to Trust his Father God. Man chose to go against God, and in
doing so, God had to find away to restore man to a state of relationship with Him, while staying
perfectly just. John 1(vs. 1a,5) says ...”In the beginning the word... and in Him was life, and life was
the light of men... “...all things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was not anything
made that was made” (John 1:3) God made man through a person. Many theologians believe this to
reference Jesus Christ. In John 14:6a, Jesus makes the statement: “...I am the way, the Truth, and the
Life...” And again, the articulation of the Justice of God in the second part of the verse “...No one
comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6b).
(c) Two Sons
There are two states of existence:
(d) a son by creation
(e) and by adoption through Christ
But the story of the parable of “the prodigal son” makes it clear two sons who share the same
father can have very different lifestyles. But it is a lifestyle of their own choosing. Son by Creation,
and Son by adoption into the family by Jesus. The son by creation can be seen first in Genesis 10.
Nimrod is the first of men on the Earth to be called a “mighty man”. Scripture is vague as to what this
meant, although it is clear he began many nations. Later, in chapter 11, the people gathered together,

and they desired to make a name for themselves by building “a city and a tower...” (Genesis 11:4). God
came to take a look at the activities of men, saw that these were simply the beginning of their plans.
He foresaw that “nothing they would propose to do would be impossible for them...” (Genesis 11:6)
(f) Loving Restriction
God knew the potential of men. He knew they could begin to depend on their own might, and expand
in pride so toxic to them that it would consume that... God knows man is powerful. But when man
chose to seperate himself from the Father God by way of disobedience, God had to restrict the life they
were able to intake. Remember back in the Garden of Eden, There are two tree's mentioned that are
significant. There is The tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and the tree of life. God's command in
the beginning was simple – “...you may eat from any tree of the garden...” (I am paraphrasing). And
the other phrase “...do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil”, and with that the result of
death. In Genesis 3:22, God reveals that eating from the tree of life had the result of eternal life. This
verse also showed that there was the horrific potential of the tree of life to bring an everlasting life. But
the danger God evidently saw was that the knowledge of both good and evil was unacceptable. It was
not a wise option. So much so that He put a Cherubim (angel) with a flaming sword to guard the tree
of life (Genesis 3:24).
God wanted man to experience eternal life, but not with the knowledge of evil. Yet he
permitted man to remain existing. Perhaps God had plan right away to one day restore the access of the
tree of life to men. During the night, a well-known Jew of the priestly title desired to learn from who
he knew to be merely a well-known rabbi: Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said these words to the well-known
Jew – Nicodemus: “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter
the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is
spirit.” (John 3:5-6)
(g) Adoption
The concept of adoption arises many times in the New testament Epistles of Scripture. Paul, in
the Epistle to the Romans, talked of a “grafting in”, a transplanting of sorts into the family God. There
is literary symbolism in other Epistles of “Vine and branches” in which Jesus is depicted as the vine,
and His followers are the branches. Other references identify fruit as an essential evidence of receiving
life and nutrients from the vine. Fruit, in the context here is interpreted to mean “fruits of the Spirit”,
and other specific characteristics Jesus clarified and demonstrated. But can fruit have a more general
form? As men and women work the ground, take care of their families, preform in the streets, stages
and sets, serve their fellow citizens in civil office or the battlefield, laboratories, or brain-storming the
next stage of more efficient, and/or more comfortable technology – are they seeing their Father's insight
and lead as the exclusive progress made, or man's progressive observations? Both methods originate
from the Father aft all, but one is by direct source, and the other is as a legally blind man working with
a good pair of corrective lenses. Man has been given some light, but it's because the Father gave us the
ability to reason, observe, and act in physical labor. Society is advancing forward, but for what
purpose? “The betterment of mankind” - it's circular!

An abstract of an essay I wrote entitled "Validity of Scripture":
The most scrutinized and critiqued book of all human history, the Judeo-Christian Scriptures is clearly
unique. Based on the evidence of other human works, it stands out as clearly impressive. The author
diversity, the time span, the different locations, the different language it's been written in, and the
meticulous translation it has undergone have, in part, led to it's massively popular status. It's apparent
survival during attempted eradication’s have failed, and actually had and inverted effect. It's influence
has led to the transformation of not only individuals, but entire nations. The amount of original
manuscript sources, the authentication from secular and religious individuals identify the book as a

historically accurate. The presence of Jesus in the New Testament is the climax of the 66 canonical
books, and has his teaching and life has led to an external religious following of now over 2000 years,
and over 3 billion people worldwide.

KINGDOM SOCIETY
KINGDOM SOCIETY – SPHERES OF INFLUENCE
The spheres are external realities that are the result of man's corporate presence on Earth. They are the
logistical means of people functioning and operating in a physical environment. But are they apart of
our eternal lifestyles? I think some are, but the real key is that we are spirit first, and physical second.
This being the case, these fields can be implemented by man as man experiences an internal change, as
begins to operate on Earth as a new man. It vision here is that for these fields to project the light of the
Kingdom of God – the individuals in the fields must first be changed. Those individuals are the Life,
blood, vision, and purpose of the spheres our society. When there is Liberty aflame in man, man is
contagious with that same flame, and his thoughts, ambitions, and actions are rooted from that flame.
The economy was never meant to run the welfare of mankind, man is to dominate the Earth and subdue
it. Society is still operating by the standards of man, rather then the standards of God.

The marriage unit of a man and a women constitute a complete family unit. Children extend it.
(refer extensively to “Growing Kid's God's Way”). This is the first exposure the individual has to a
civil society. What is fostered in the family is exponentially spread in society's spheres. Is the child
seeing what a true man looks like in his/her father? Is he/she receiving proper nurturing from his/her
mother? Civil government for the individual begins with the father and mother instructing the child by
force. As the child grows and develops, a pattern will develop – and as the parents move from forced
instruction to influential instruction, the child's character is being developed.

Here is an abstract of an article I wrote entitled “Character Development”:
The development of character is the foundation of a person's trek through life. It's primary location
for promulgation is in the home. The home rightly understands character from the image of God,
the model for all existence. At the beginning of the family is the marriage, where the civil
government structure structure is formed as a shared limited aristocracy. Right character
development is in the methods used, and they come by the belief systems that are held by the
parents, counselors, and mentors. Conscience is innately in a person by God's design, but much of
it's function must be externally developed. Once the conscience is established, the character is sure
to follow. And as a result of individuals with strong character, the family structure, and ultimately
the society composed of the families will follow suit.

“Holy-Spirit influenced” peace, direction and Truth. It is here that individual's unite to see God reveal
through His Earthly body, and to worship Him as a bride. The conscience is to be shaped here.
Conscience be defined here as the moral framework of the character. There are two references made by
this term. The Church is the universal body of Christ, around the world, of every age, ethnicity, and
orientation. The core elements that unite them are what is written in Scripture, and the fruits of the
Holy Spirit as evidences of the Spirit inside. The church, is the local congregation of the body of Christ
in a vicinity. It holds a more particular set of beliefs, or doctrines that better suits a group of people of
a more intimate setting. The history of the church begins with the event recorded in Acts 2. It is
unquestionably characterized as an organization of individual's filled with boldness, with hope, and
with purpose. The church is properly to be composed of families voluntarily consenting to unite
together in order to maintain an organic, natural collaboration of combined mutual relationships among
families for support, and care. In the colonial days of America, it was the church that inspired the
Patriotism among the people, and often taught on the structure of civil government.
But this sphere also includes those *prodigal* sons and daughters of God. It includes all forms
of openly-expressed spirituality in society.

Here is an abstract of an essay I wrote entitled “Faith, Hope, and Love”:
The moral principles defined in Scripture are a reflection of something that resonates deep inside
each of our souls. Yet, these are principles that are understood as practical on a natural level as well.
Faith is a vision of what is not yet physical reality, yet trusted on as if it were. Hope is the
endurance factor to is somewhat attached with imagination. Love is that deep absolute, and
universally recognizable force creates, rather then destroys.
4. Education
The home, being the first place the individual is to experience the world, exposes him to a civil
government construct – Mom and Dad. They are to instruct, discipline, and guide him with the support
of the church. If the parents choose to place an outside individual or organization over the
administering his character development and instruction, that individual or organization should partner
with the parent to see that the parent is giving the character development, and the individual or
organization is offering sound, Biblical instruction. Let's be clear: ideas change the world. What is
taught to an individual is what he carries into the economy, labor-force, and civil government. This is
the expansion of the knowledge of the centuries of man to the next, current (and in some cases past)
generations. The sources that are used to spread this vast plethora of knowledge must be sound, as it
will show up later as those educated by it will rehash that same information with potentially the
mixture of other-gathered information in the creation of a business model, invention idea, or
educational curriculum. What a teacher says in some cases will surpass the word of the parent...

Here is an abstract of an essay I wrote entitled “Rise of the Universities: Part I”:
In the beginning, the knowledge of God was unavoidable. It was the only reasonable origin to
observe. But as men took on the knowledge of evil, they begin to deviate from the clear evidence of
God's good direction and counsel. Religion has been a staple of human history. It permeated every
aspect of life, right or wrong. Some religions were more theistic in nature, and other were more for
maintaining ethical standards. The documentation of objective laws will lead to respect for them.
Religion has long ago began education, and advanced society as a result. And for a long time,
theology was the pinnacle of educational subject matter. As science advanced, men looked to their
own limited perspective to define everything in existence. The result is the limited reach of
education into all of man's abilities, including and especially spirituality.
Here is an abstract of an essay I wrote entitled “Approaching the Podium of Theology”:
Theology is a complicated word, let alone a whole field of study. It is essentially a subject of sacred
things. But it has been given a bad rap as of late. The integration of religion has become common
place, and even interchangeable. The distinction of God from religion must be made. What are the
sources of study – who/what were their original others? What are the branches of theology? What
are some of the points that are included in a the material? What are the implications of studying this
material? How much of other fields of study potentially become relevent with the study of by God
and the results effects of religion among men? Is there honestly any field that can interact entirely
seperate from what claims the existence of man and the universe?
5. Business Economics
It might seem that these two should be separated, and it wouldn't necessarily be wrong to do so
– but observe the mutual relationship they share. Historical events have long had technology
advancing, and markets opening up as a result. Go as far back as the Hittites of Asia minor BC. They
were advanced in their cultivation of horses. There was to become a market as (first of individuals near
the taming), and then of nearby nations as they discovered that horses was a superior warfare tactic.
In our modern day, we see a multitude of subcategories with this sphere: Medicine, Astronomy, Labor
and Industry, Transportation, Engineering and Mechanics, Information Technology, and
Marketing/Stock exchange.

Here is an abstract of an essay I wrote entitled “Entrepreneurship Factor”
How does the entrepreneur affect society? What catalyst pushes him to pioneer the project that is in
his mind? What constitutes the evidence of an entrepreneur? Where should he begin, and what
foundations must be present? Is there an unwaveringly optimistic perspective in the entrepreneur?
How significant is confidence and passion? Is there an element of entrepreneurship in all of us?
What would happen if no one ever questioned the status quo?
6. Arts and Entertainment
The stage of society. It was once street performers, Court Jesters, poetry, literature, and fine
musical composition. The advancement of technology has heightened the stakes. Man looks now for
more to keep him entertained, and thus the industry has grown into the full-time field people make their
livelihood in. In a field where the name of the game is “entertainment” (like any field after all), there is
work that must be put forth. In the case of a career, stress to meet the deadline can make one's dream
lifestyle a day job. What other option is there, one might ask. “It's just how the economy works in our
fast-paced world now...” Well, I will admit that in our current state of get the job done, and get the
paycheck, there is something lost in the passion and heart of many performers, or production studios.
This field is quite wide and diverse now and includes such endeavors as: Film-making, video games,
dance and choreography, music and mixing, acting, stand-up comedy, literature (now a broad scene of
quality, and questionable textural content).

The field that is the face, and voice of society. It's venues include: Television, Websites, Email,
Podcast, Social Media, E-Publications, podcasts, Radio, and Newspaper. Our exposure to the society
we live among is incredibly vast, yet so vast and immense is our exposure to “news” that what is “new”
doesn't stay new as long as it had in the past. Man's growing dependance on the media has created a
barrier between real-life like and “subjectively-real” life. “If it's in the media...”, then it is probably
right. Is there any department that insures that media sources are checked though, and full, unbiased
information and facts are conveyed to the extent that outside viewers understand the situation? Should
other nations be expected to receive the updates of a nations daily function? Did God ever work to
unite nations in an intimate union? Should the peasants know of the kings daily activities in the palace.

Here is an abstract of an essay I wrote entitled “On Communication”:
What is language? What is it's purpose? What laws govern it? Do individuals learn language by
“pragmatic” means, as a result to a social/applicable end? If so, what quality of vocab do they have?
And what source do their definitions derive? What determines a good definition? What benefit to
other languages contribute to a language? These questions concentrate focus on man's
understanding of the methodology of communication – the “vehicle” of interaction in society. Why
are human definitions not absolute? And finally, what is Truth?
8. Civil Government and Law
Our present society sees the civil government as the face of the nation among the nations of the Earth.
If our civil government is is disarray, corrupted, or in debt – then the nations individuals feel disgraced,
or misrepresented. But What is the real purpose of government? Webster's 1828 defines government
as “Direction, Regulation, Control, Restraint”. The function of a proper civil government should be to
maintain order in a good, and mechanically sound machine. What should this look like in a society
that is functioning out of solid moral principles. How much funds should be applied to executive,
criminal force, or court systems?
Civil government is best applied in the local community that it is located in. In Exodus, in the
wilderness, when Moses was leading the Israelites, he had been handling disputes for all of the people.
We are talking about several million people by this time. (Exodus 18:15-25) Jethro, his father-in-law
made a suggestion for him as to a proper management hierarchy. He suggested to have big disputes be
brought to Moses, but little ones to be decided among themselves. This is essentially the concept of
state, or provincial government. In the U.S.A. There are three levels of civil government: Federal,
State, and local (and even further if counties are included). The Federal civil government deals with
major threats, and inter-state obstructions. But even at this level, state police databases are shared
openly with other states in order to bring criminals to justice. The key of civil government is
protection. Protection of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (or property). State civil
government oversees the inter-city transportation (state-patrol). Local city police oversee criminal
activity of the city, and learn the locations of repeating offenses. But what is missing here – have I left
anything out? Shouldn't the police be have a presence if there is little or no criminal activity in the
community? What about the accidental incidents of motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists. What about
the potential occasion where an intersection light breaks down during rush hour traffic? Is it to be left
at an unspoken “yield to oncoming traffic, and proceed with caution”? What if the police officers of
our cities can be reduced down to part-time, or an on-call status? What would the character of the
average Joe have to be? It would have to be at the level of the individual, and it would have to be a
deep, and sincere transformation.

Here is an abstract of an essay I wrote entitled “Essence of Civil Society”:
The nature of civil society roots back to the fundamentals that constitute human relationships. It is a
reflection of the image of God that He created man and nature in. As man has been given the free
will to take dominion over the Earth, society has taken the shape of the beliefs he holds. Civil
Government then, is an outer shell that seeks to regulate and protect the internal workings of society.
Throughout history, different forms of government have formed, and seen failure. Ironically, it is
the ecclesiastical structure of the Christian system that saw the greatest prosperity and success in
governing people. The conclusion that the moral principles that all people were created with to live
by should not be surprising. The Bible is not a book of religion any more then men make it. It is the
words of God spoken in man's language to communicate their highest prosperity.

KINGDOM SOCIETY – PRINCIPLES OF LIBERTY
• Definition
Webster's 1828 definition is (in part): A cause, source, origin, or foundation of a thing.
Pretty clear. Its where things advance from. Definitions are beneficial as a means of language usage.
They clearly give boundaries for the correct usage of a word. They are also going to be imperfect.
Words in our modern languages have words that derive from older languages, and definitions have
arisen as a result of bringing clarity into our language. Though imperfect, using words for which we
understand the concept behind can greatly improve the efficiency of communication.
There are three concepts that I will mention here that mysteriously show up to some extent, all
over society: Philosophy, Method, Curriculum. Philosophy is the reason why something is, or the
motivation for a given action. These show up anywhere from an organization's mission statement to
the doctrines of a particular church denomination. Method then is the procedure or style of application
of the material, or evidence being presented. It is the messenger of the sent package. Finally, the
Curriculum is the material itself. It's interesting to acknowledge that on the surface, all we directly see
is the curriculum. But, upon observing further, we may discover the care and sensitivity that went into
it's delivery. When a husband loves his wife, it will take more then those words for it to be received
genuinely. Has society largely stopped here. Let me reiterate my position of a society change in this
book: I believe this CANNOT happen by our external actions. As an individual experiences an internal
liberty – he expresses it into society in the field or trade he is in. But it should not spread as a result of
his spreading it, rather it should begin naturally in the hearts of each individual – and externally-
expressed liberty will be mutually reinforced, and old principle completely die, and new principles are
founded to build upon.
• NATURE OF GOD AND MAN
But look at the first just before in Genesis 1:27, God created man in His image. It would be wise to
define what God's image might be here. It has become clear to us in our modern age (thanks to 2000
years of theological analysis), that God's image is not so much His physical shape, but His nature of
existence (what elements make up who He is in essence), and His character (what He chooses to do
with His nature). God has more features of nature then we do of course, but God chose to make man
with a very risky attribute – one that would complicate events of history exponentially: Free will. Free
will is our capacity to originate our own actions. But with such an ability, man needs to have options to
chose from. God thus gave man the mind.
Science has not been able to articulate precisely what “the mind” is precisely, since it includes
elements that is somehow not exclusive to the mind. Never-the-less, this includes a couple of powerful
tools: Reason, and Logic. These may seem interchangeable, but literally, (according to Webster's 1828
dictionary) Reason is the act of thinking with principles determining a conclusion. For reason to work,
there must be source material – this, I submit to you, is Truth. It has to come from an external location,
outside of ourselves. We may use our five empirical senses to receive Truth. Let us define Truth here
as “the correct description of reality”. But where there is Truth, there can be Deception. I define
deception here as “the incorrect description of reality”. We receive these easily, but whether we chose
to use them is up to us. Logic is the process of using reason to line conclusions up in an appropriate
order. There is a third tool: the conscience. This has been called a function of reason. Webster defines
it simply as an ability to know right and wrong innately. I will venture here and define it as a storage
capacity for moral virtues. Dr. Ezzo, in “Growing kid's God's way, calls it a “Moral warehouse”. He
states there is both an in-born component, and a trained component.

Let's spend some time discussing Truth reception. External reception, by our own
empirical senses: touch, taste, smell, sight, hearing, if we're honest, must acknowledge that the
scientific method works exclusively from these inputs. It observes people, places, and things in
their present state. It can predict the trajectory, pace, and form leading up to said objects
present state. It observes behaviors and outcomes, but not principles, motivations, or origins.
Those facts received, I believe, can be converted into data that our reason and logic can work
with, but this is still a “secondary source” of truth reception. Internally, we may receive Truth
or deception – and these from God or the enemy. These two sources exclusively can place
thoughts in man's mind (I believe true “inception” is impossible – man's tree will is never
compromised. These can come in the form of thoughts, dreams, visions, resurrected memories.
These facts can then be analyzed by conscience, reasoning, logic, and the Holy Spirit (if He
dwells in the individual). Since Scripture was inspired by God, it is exclusively a book that
transcends the cumulative acquired knowledge of man, and thus, it stands beyond the need of
analysis of by the scientific method. These tools compose *generally*, the mind.
Laws of physics can be observed by the scientific method, but laws of morality are
internal only, and thus must be assessed by God, who alone is: Spirit, and out of our world, free
of all bias, opinions, or presumed ideas. Society operates with the laws of morality internally,
insinuating the desires, intentions, and motivations and with the physical laws by what is
interacted with on the surface. The spiritual realm is the whole of everything in existence, since
everything is controlled by spirit. The physical realm is only what is on the surface.
Finally, the final component of God's image imparted into man is: Emotion. It is an
interesting deposit, many may say, as it is a post-application of the decision-making process.
Yet, try to imagine life without this feature. It is our ability to experience the delicate,
sensitivity of internal attributes of life. There would be no joy, no sadness, no boredom, no
excitement nor exhilaration. No celebrations, or grief. It is these experiences of life that we are
able to relate to all people with on an inner level. It has the potential to bring us closer in
relationship. It prohibits us from being mechanical (yet consenting) entities.
I. God's Principle of Individuality
A. Christian Individuality
i. The Christian Idea of Man and Government
In an essay I wrote entitled “Essence of Civil Society”, I identify the image of God and man:
“By God's very mouth, He declares that He made man for His glory. In the Beginning, He created
him from the dust of the Earth. (Gen 2:7) While all the physical matter of the universe was created
prior to man, He gave to man the dominion over all of it. (Gen 1:28) God had something special and
unique in mind for man. He had made him in His very image.(Gen 1:26, 27; 9:6) Surely God was
not referring to His physical form, which is displayed figuratively in Judeo-Christian Scripture for
the sake of His finite audience. Rather, I believe He was referring to His non-physical nature. His
mind, for which He can reason, image, be aware of himself and God, remember, and hold a
conscience. His Will, which enables Him to carry out an internal idea on a reality level; and
Emotion, which brought feeling and experiential capacity into existence. These Scripture refers to
as: Mind, Heart, and Soul. (Olson 2) From these essential endowments of nature, we see all of

society in submission to. In fact, it is by these that man is able to relate with God.”
ii. Two political concepts of man: Pagan or Christian
At the core of man is the controversial component of free will. It either makes or breaks the freedom of
men. By the Christian perspective, man is perceived by the Biblical definition, having been created by
God in His image, and being reconciled back from sin that he committed to God through the sacrifice
of Christ. Thus, the state is made for and by man for his benefit. By the Pagan perspective, man is
seen as a piece of the whole. A part of the greater mechanical precision of society. Man is subject to
the state, and must submit, or suffer the legalistic penalties associated with techical violations. No
comprehension of deeper principles of mankind are taken into consideration, but rather, civil governing
institution has authority to determine what is best for men. It is the pagan motto that says, “man is the
measure of all things”. In an essay I wrote entitled “Rise of the Universities: Part I”, I examine the sad
divorce of Christianity and higher education:
Christianity, having originated from Judaism around 33AD made a substantial impact on the
western world, and later the religion of Islam would follow in it's footsteps. The teachings of Jesus
were marked by a boldness and “having authority” (Matthew 7:21) The external religion of Christianity
has so much of an interwoven fabric with education through it's existence, that education would be a
far different beast then it is today, and undoubtedly less civilized or advanced. At the heart of the
Judeo-Christian religions is a sacred text. And, though the other religions relied heavily on the written
word for a solid basis for theology and religious tradition, Judaism and Christianity had a solid concept
of one God, and a Law that was to be extended into all functions in life.
B. Individual Sovereignty
The most rudimentary picture we have of sovereignty is in the God. He exists without dependance on
anyone or anything. By this picture, man have a framework to live by. But for men, there is
dependance on one premise: God. From the Biblical picture of man in the Old Testament, and the
Christian picture of the new man in the New Testament, man is instructed to live in obedience to the
will of God. But because of the deep love of God, this is an option to man by will free will. God will
let men see the consequences of decisions against His instructions. The principle component to be
observed here in compressed form is Self-Government. Men have been given the capacity of choice.
Though God has given them life, physically, mentally, and spiritually, man has been given the position
of government over himself. In my essay “Essence of Civil Society”, I write on the Self-government of
man:
“In God, all members of the society were perfectly outward focused. They all had an abundant love
for the other persons of the Godhead, or Trinity. As the rudimentary image of creation began at the
words of God, we see it's prefabricated image already functioning in His very nature. Society,
according to John Locke, in his Second Treatise of Civil-Government, begins in the revolutionary
concept of “the state of nature”. By this, he meant that all men were equal in creation, and to submit
only to the “Law of nature”, which we understand today as physical and moral laws. All had no one
but God over them. God had created man in the garden, and man had only known that relationship;
yet God had saw that this was not good. (Gen 2:18) At the ground level, mankind began as an
individual – governing himself.”
C. The Representative Principle
Representation has at it's core the element of consent. In a social structure of any size or expanse,

representatives are rightly chosen to represent the greater population; who more thoroughly apply their
energies to govern the populace. The 3rd
of the 3 methods of nation making is deemed the “English
method.” This is the first expression by men to represent social units of people with warfare actually
being optional. Diplomatic negotiations allow for peaceful alliances to be made, and for society to
function with diversity amongst an objective unity. While this occurred in England, it happened by
accident. Before it happened in England on an external, national level, it happened in the organic,
natural function of the Kingdom of God on Earth among Christians. And prior to Christianity, it was
witnessed as far back a Moses, when in the desert, he let the people chose representatives for
themselves, and his duty would be to handle only the most pressing of situations. It is a very intelligent
method of handling matters, and suppressing stress.
D. Geographic Individuals
i. Christian Geography
Asia, the continent of origins. Europe the continent of development. And America, the most complete
expression of Christian civilization. The history in the first two is given the archaic term of “the old
world”, while America is exclusively termed, “The New World”.
Asia is the land from which ancestors of all mankind find their origin. It is the land of Adam, Noah,
Cain, Lemech, Nimrod, Abraham, Issac, Ismael, and Jacob, who was later renamed Israel. By these
names, we understand much of Biblical history. But from the son's of Noah, we are able to follow the
genetic diversity as they made their separate ways in all the Earth. It is the most vast of all the
continents. It is called the “Cradle of man's moral nature”. (T/L 150) Europe, called “continent of
development” has the most activity in terms of development of the Christian religion, and
consequently, western development.
Ironically, it has been credited to Europe the success and prosperity. It was here that
sophisticated education, (or atleast the internationally-excepted standard) developed, and largely due to
the church holding on to language during an era when much of society was in great upheaval. The
Catholic monks in the monasteries held onto the written Scriptures, literary prose, litergies, and moral
traditions that essentially restarted civil society. Finally, A select group from England, having the Spirit
of God burning in them, felt the pressure of an external “ecclesiastical institution” to be burdensome,
and chose to escape for their freedom in fellowship as believers. They moved from England to
Holland, and from their eventually to America, and then purservered to see, after a very miraculous
generation, prosperity, and to the grand comparison of the external structure attempted in Virginia. By
the heroic endeavors of the Pilgrims, America actually saw 150 years of self-government, with very
obvious prosperity and growth.
ii. “The Continents of History”
The strategy God had intended in the spreading of the Gospel was both including individuals and
nations, paganistic, or obedient. Israel begins the strategy with the tablets of stone containing the moral
law of God. Israel would then be a representative nation to her neighbors for centuries. Greece begins
to develop later on, and shapes simple forms of arts and entertainment in society. They pursue
excellence in all they do, though with no objective standard for what excellence is. They develop
concepts of philosophy, logic, and simple civil government organization. Their language spreads
throughout much of the world. Rome, having risen from meager foundations, by means of domination
over their neighbors, expands to dominate through conquest.

Their staple feature is glory; warfare meant glory and possible riches. Military tactics and
structure propel Rome into a blood-strained victorious rule. An empire of brutal, prideful architectural
prominence ascends to the height of world power. “The glory of Rome” rules in constant conquest-
driven civil peace. Christ incarnates in Israel during the reign of Rome. But Christ deposits a new
internal Spirit in individuals. Now Christianity is a growing Kingdom unto itself, with a law written
internally on hearts, and a conquest for souls, fought not with physical weapons, but words,
relationship and unconditional love. Europe suffers tremendously from a war-torn remnant of Rome in
the west. Barbaric tribes fight and literature is largely forgotten with no dependable peace to ease the
nerves. Remnants of Christ's Kingdom cry out in dark times for a Biblical standard and return to
Biblical morality.
As an external religious tradition dominates the region, Europe’s landmass being close political
boarders provoke desperate Christians to evacuate to a new land; a new world. Across the ocean,
individuals discover a measure of freedom. A self-government is implemented in towns and local
communities. The separation of powers of government help foster a more solid, community-aware
civil government. But this community has now a government from within, and a King supreme above,
leaving little room for an external, human civil government. But mountain crags hold the colonists
from at bay until they are confident enough to conquer the wild and mysterious unknown.
iii. America reserved by God
When Columbus first encountered the America's in 1492, it was by accident. He had incorrectly
believed it to be India, his original destination. His exposure of the new continent led later Spaniards to
penetrate the continent, and “Christianize” it's inhabitants. While this was clearly not the real method
in the Kingdom of God, it did do much to end the grotesque paganism that was practiced by the
indigenous people there. Later as John Smith was named as part of the governing council, plantation
became the all-consuming enterprise. The harvest of their crops were so important, that the location
and importation of workers/slaves itself became a business. Jamestown Virginia was a charter held in
high anticipation by the investors back in London, but the reality is, it saw more failure then success.
At one point, they entered into a season called, “The Starving Time” in which the already limited
harvest produced even less crops, and the 500 people living there dropped to around 60. The tragic
story of the treasure hunters among the Native American's is further problematic when considering the
their interactions. Thier civil government structure is difficult to swallow as well, since a caste system
was in place. There was a high class, and a worker class. In many cases, individuals of high standing
and reputation actually appointed themselves authorities, and imported slaves and workers were
branded as less then other men.
In 1620, after a long, and undoubtedly tiresome journey across the Atlantic, in addition to the
pervading hardship of locating work in Holland. The Pilgrims, originally from England, had made an
risky excape to Holland in hopes of securing religious freedom for themselves, found the atmosphere in
Holland to very oppressive to their Christian fellowship. It was then the agreement of the church
congregation to secure a charter for the America's. Their trip brought them North of their destination to
Plymouth, in New England. This brought them concern, for they had no external government to
govern them. Upon discovering this, the whole crew of the ship (102) consented to an agreement to
govern themselves. This was the famed “Mayflower Compact”, and it sets the stage for the future
prosperity that is to be eventually seen in America. But Prosperity did not happen immediately, and
that first winter, half of the crew actually died, yet later, when a ship offered them a trip back to
England, not even one got aboard. The Pilgrims established simple civil government system, with a

governor, and community members supporting each other. The Pilgrims adopted much of their
methods from the Bible, and such is stated in their Mayflower Compact. But from the account of
William Bradford, the Pilgrims were a very optimistic group, even when food was intensely scarce.
The Pilgrims are credited with preserving the Christianity that had transformed Europe in the
continent of America. The evidence of their character is evident in many cases, such as the comparison
of the plantation of Plymouth with that of Jamestown Virginia. Another miraculous circumstance is the
longevity of the people. There are people said to have made it up into their nineties. This was simply
unheard of in those times. Something special happened in that special place the Pilgrims cultivated.
But more importantly then the crops, the Pilgrims real goal was to produce a legacy that their posterity
could benefit from. The Pilgrims raised their children with solid Biblical character. Self-government
was a system in function for about 150 years. Revivals took place beginning in the 1730's, and revival
is the outward expression of people desperately crying out to God. By the time of the Revolution,
American's had grown to a population of about 3 million people, and developed quite a unique culture
from that of Europe. While the 13 colonies were distinctly different, the actions of certain key
individuals promoted a unity in the Americans, not out of distain for the encroaching British, but in
principles. Samuel Adams set into motion the Committee's of Correspondence, and word spread of
principles of government, and a cool, calm understanding swept through as much as half of the
colonies. The diverse colonies were now in communion with one another on objective principles
universal to all men, as creatures of God.
iv. One Indivisible Republic
It took the spread of Christianity over the course of over 1500 years to produce the American Republic
as it originally was envisioned. America, which was first simply a continent, was providentially
preserved for Christians to inhabit it, and establish an external government structure that was
revolutionary up to that point. It was self-government. People voluntarily agree to govern and take
care of one another, by the principles laid out in Scripture;
1) that God created all men, each with a unique design and abilities,
2) that property may be exclusively owned by the individual, and
3) that government is for the benefit of man.
Short story I wrote entitled “Endeavors of the Old World”:
An exasperating struggle, cruelly persisting into a decade of devaluation of people half a
hemisphere away. Eloquent arrogance and procrastination led the culminating evidence upon
the Parliament old. “The empire that never sets” they were called. Magnificent, representative
occupation was their method of reign, and their claim to world power of the day. The foremost
in ecclesiastical, governmental, militarily, and technological – heritage of royalty would soon
see it's imperfections by extreme ignorance of authority. It's global sway of foreign territories
astonishes the world to this day, considering the proportionately-insignificant geography. The
persisting remains of monarchy are perceived more comically in modern circles. “where is the
deep, passionate, heroic patriotism of the citizens of nations?” one calls out. “Where are the
loyal servants of the one everlasting King in this technologically-advanced age of 21st
century
Earth?” It is the character then, of individuals, adhering to an absolute Supreme ruler, who
rules by consent of the governed: internally and personally. The radical, epic, gargantuan

endeavors of the old world can belong to our generation again – if faith we restore as our
wholistic lifestyle.
II. **The Chain of Christianity
A. Introduction
The Movement of Christianity originates with Christ, as the name implies. But Christ originates from
God and is God. The image of Christ is a mirror of the Father – The Ancient of Day. The story of the
Gospel of redemption has roots leading far from the present understanding of the incarnation of Christ
on Earth. The real gem is found in the Father not only speaking, but demonstrating the message of
redemption and restoration to the men of Earth since their erection from the dust. (Genesis 2:7) The
Law of God was given to the people of Israel, a name literally meaning “wrestling with God”. This
group of people witness a full exposure of the riches of the Earth, but repeatedly chose what others had,
and disregarded their God, who brought them into everything they are as a people. Their heritage
unwaveringly roots from God's repeated hand in their midst.
But God had always meant for all men to experience the redemption and restoration back to
Himself (Neander 1). By the prophecies leading up to it, the Messiah was born in Israel. He
demonstrated a Kingdom of God that was in no way exclusive to the Jews, but rather dispersed out of it
due to the Jews' rejection of it. At the moment of Pentecost, while 70 followers of Christ waited on God
to release His Holy Spirit, the fire then did fall. From the outset, 3000 were transformed, and dispersed
to their place of origin, as they had made a pilgrimage for the festival of Passover. The empire of Rome
was unaware of the pandemic they were sitting on. At first, Rome attempted to persecute “the way”.
(Acts 19:9, 23; 24:14, 22) Later, as the structural integrity of the empire fell, Christianity became the
cornerstone and capstone of the empire. The spread of the true Kingdom of God was given to the
people of Earth, as they submitted themselves to the Holy Spirit. This is the story of an energy from the
very heart of God delivered in loving affection of His creation.
B. Creation
It began in with God. He who is called Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. (Rev 22:13) The
most scrutinized volume of literature in history (Markeli) reiterates creation in John 1 of it's New
Testament section. It was here that God created man in His image. (Gen 1:26-27) It was in the Garden
that man chose to rebel against the instruction of God, his Creator. (Gen 3:6) It was here that God
determined that a restitution was necessary to restore to man what he had lost. Out of His immense
benevolence, God inhibited man from living in a perpetual state of wickedness. (Gen 2:9; 3:22, 24)
C. The Law
The Man Moses was called out from the land of Egypt, having a miraculous story of Providence from
birth. Born of the tribe of Levi, he had a special spiritual allotment to come near to the things of God.
In leaving his home of royal prominence in Egypt out of fear for his life for a crime of murder, God had
a plan to bring out of him something he couldn't have imagined for himself. God captivated him by
engulfing a bush in flame that did not consume it. In approaching, God voices that this is holy ground.
Here Moses first encounters God, and Moses sustains a substantial fear of the LORD. God asks Moses
to reenter the land of Egypt, where his ancestral brothers are enslaved in heavy labor under the hand of
the oppressive Pharaoh. Moses approaches Pharaoh with God's decree, and when Pharaoh refuses, 10
plagues of miraculous demonstration of God's wonder are released on the people. As the tenth plague
emotionally traumatizes the Pharaoh, (having lost his first born son, as all Egyptians had) he lets the
Israelites go, only to come to his senses and pursue them by an aggressive army of chariots.

The acts of God escalated at this point, pulverizing the stubborn Pharaoh and all his army in the
waters of the Red sea as they followed the Israelites into the standing ovation of the waters. Moses led
the Israelites into the wilderness, bringing them under the direct providence of God, witnessing miracle
after miracle. The culmination of which was God bringing the people into a divine marriage ceremony,
complete with sights and sounds typical of a life-altering event. (Exodus 20:18) In this moment, God
released the laws of morality written by his very finger on tablets of stone. Later on, the laws of the
Covenant were read to the people, and blood of the sacrifice was thrown on the people as an act of
consecrated. They had partaken in a divine rite with God, and Covenanted themselves to Him.
D. The Gospel
The Life and message of Jesus, born in Bethlehem, raised in Nazareth, yet pronounced the Son of God,
by historical accounts, as well as Scripture reference is the sum measure of the Gospel. The life and
message of Jesus however, is much more then meets the eye. His life is a mirror of The Father, the
Creator of all existence. (John 5:30) The power is then by the outward demonstration of an inner
transformational design to be consented to. Dr. Augustus Neander, in his Memorials of a Christian Life
says “the gospel... revealed forth the principles of Him who called them out of darkness into His
marvelous light...” (Neander T/L 1) It is an ancient message of not only redemption from out of slavery
and bondage, but a gateway into wholeness and freedom. It releases man into his intended design, to
live in harmony with God, living by his Creator's design parameters. In typical Hebrew literary
fashion, Scripture reiterates this concept unceasingly.
E. The Pagan Nations and Christianity
The stark contrast of the mindset of the pagan nations and of the movement of Christianity is clearly
expressed by Neander, in his work Memorials of a Christian Life. Christianity takes hold of the
individual at such a deep level, that it “...can satisfy the higher necessities of the inner man.” (Neander
T/L 1) The Romans held a very different deistic view then the Christians. They carried over the religion
of the Greeks and merely translated the names, and customs to suit them. Their mentality was that
religion was to supplement the state, and that civil law was supreme. It was from this mindset that they
considered Caesar to be lord. The Roman citizens, desiring not to upset the ruthless Roman authorities,
ridiculed the rise of a religion that rejected any lord but Jesus. The larger dichotomy is in the
philosophy of life in the end though.
F. The Character of the Greeks
The Greeks exhibited a brilliant image of beauty, it cannot be denied. They elevated excellence to the
point of idolatry. Men were perceived to take on demigod status by their performance in battle etc.
Their lofty view of deity may have led to their powerful presence on Earth. While both militaristic and
philosophical advance was alarmingly advanced, the dysfunctional state of their race was substantially
limited by their separated city state partitions. Sparta, with it's exclusively military-driven culture, and
Athens, with it's attention to a more diplomatic nature. While there was a compromise made during the
Trojan wars against the Persians, the integrity of the race fell as the two fought against one another in
the Polynesian war. They excelled greatly in their philosophical perception of the world, but they
lacked a solid truth to validate their conclusions by, or premise to base their presuppositions on. Their
in prominent position in history remains, perhaps because they were the first to stumble upon the
concepts of modern science, but it doesn't mean that the concepts were not already present in an
undiscovered fashion. The Greeks contributed the most specific and articulating of language the world

has ever seen. In contrast to the Hebrew language, it shined light where there was darkness, so to speak.
G. The Character of the Romans
The Romans were a Law driven, militaristic people. Originating from the peninsula of Italy, they
fought with the Etruscans for dominance, eventually forming a Republic, deriving from a family-
centric culture. Their unity in the early years led to a dominating composure. Their conquering persona
led to a massive acquisition of peoples. They employed a certain type of civilization development.
Under this Roman method, conquered people groups were allowed to keep their land, language, and
religious traditions, provided that they pay taxes to the Empire. The negative of this externally elegant
and mechanically efficient military machine was that external law and it's enforcement was how peace
was attained, and how it was maintained. The military force was essential on multiple fronts, the
expansion of the empire, and the enforcement of law at the local level. When the Roman empire fell, it
was due to lack of an external control of the people. The next phase that the empire took in an attempt
to maintain composure was in conquering in the name of Christ. The historic remnants left by the
Romans are many, but many any other nation could have easily happened upon eventually. The
Romans developed a news method of nation making, and their civil law was the most developed of the
day.
H. John Wycliffe
Called “the morning star of the reformation”, Wycliffe opened up the door for the message of Judeo-
Christian Scripture to influence the laymen as had never been seen before. Not since the apostle Paul,
interacting with a primarily Gentile audience of believers, had one acted in spite of the accepted norm
of the religion in reaching out to the locals of the society. Wycliffe made the Latin Vulgate translation
of Scripture available in the then informal language of English. What can be seen in retrospect by this
event is the lingual studies as a means to understand the Scriptures first-hand. This would lead to not
only simple laity questioning church doctrines, but also sparked later actions by Christians in
translating Scripture, and commentating on Scripture with a less intense focus on tradition, and more of
The raw Word itself.
Wycliffe wanted to place the Bible in the hands of the individual. He said that “dominion
belongs to grace.” By this he meant that authority comes by God. The concept, referred to almost
unanimously by the four gospel authors, of those wanting to be great in the Kingdom of God will be
least. (Mat 20:26, Luke 22:26, Mark 10:43) Wycliffe made such a profound impact on culture, and
especially the Roman Catholic Church, that the Pope actually called his bones to be burned 41 years
after his death. Yet his reformational presence enduring, producing a proud following affectionately
referring to themselves as “the Lollards”.
I. William Tyndale
Among all the iconic names put forth in reformation period, William Tyndale's work is the most evident
among them on the English front. His work of translating the Bible was indeed unique, as he was the
first to take the original Hebrew and Greek source languages which the original authors had written
them, and translate them directly into Anglo-Saxon English. It he once said that he would have a farm
boy know more Scripture then the Pope. It was indeed a bold claim, yet despite this unhidden disregard
for the Popes authority, his historical renown lived well beyond his earthly existence. His words in
about 80% of the Old Testament, and 90% of the New Testament. His translation, though originally
condemned, King Henry did in fact include the grand majority of Tyndale's translation work in a new
edition of the Bible called “the Great Bible”. Dying a martyrs death, his dying prayer, “Lord, open the

King of England's eyes” was granted.
J. Martin Luther
The picture of the purpose-driven young Augustinian monk making his way to the Castle church in
Wittenburg makes for quite a provocative stir. In witnessing the actions of the church in the form of
indulgences, and of the church forgiving sins, these thesis are the result. Martin Luther was considered
a heretic. He also undertook to translate the Bible into the native tongue of German.
K. John Calvin
John Calvin was so successful in communicating his understanding of Scripture, that he wrote a
substantial work of literature that has remained heavily influential on the Protestant variety of the
Christian religion even to this day. Those who followed him were called “Calvinists”. While his claims
may be powerful and narrowly focused, he promoted a exegetical form of studying Scripture that was
and is hallmark of Biblical scholarship. His famous work was called “Institutes of The Christian
Religion”. He undoubtedly ought to have received an award for the incredible amount of work he did in
holding so many positions. He was preacher, a teacher, and an administrator. In addition to this, he
helped to translate Scripture, and carried on written discourse with his reformation cohorts. While
much can be said negatively towards him in hindsight, the credit must certainly be given to him for
articulating a clearly Biblical and articulated presentation of Christianity. His work would lead to an
intellectual center in Geneva, Switzerland, referred to as “the city of God”. Here, clergy of the
reformed church were given academic instruction on the subject of Theology. He organized a Biblical
pattern which others knew was true, but could not articulate so eloquently.
L. The King James Bible
This work is a culmination of the massive influx of Bible translations in the peoples' native language. It
was the goal of King James VI and I to produce an authorized version that conformed to objective
standards, and done by recognized scholars. It was a grand undertaking, and found it's way into many
prestigious universities of the day. The exceptional translation still revered today is the result of many
preceding counterparts. This new version has the powerfully important factor of remaining free of bias
interpretation, and side notes or commentary. It was also expressed in a now-flourishing English
language.
M.Magna Carta
This event marks a penetration of truth either directly or indirectly into the individual at a social and
non-religious level. It was here at Runnymede that King John was forced at sword point to sign a
document limiting his sovereign power over the people. It was this document that the first mention of
“No taxation without representation” was written. The people had rightfully taken culture of the society
they were living in. Prior to this event, tradition ruled. The Divine Right of Kings was the undisputed,
and unquestioned standard. Monarchs came to power by succession. After this historical landmark,
legislation must be in written form; no longer was word of mouth sufficient. The King was to be
submissive to the laws decreed, as he was to take on the branch of the executive, while the 25 Barons
were to compose the first Legislative body of the modern world. What was regarded as law must be in
writing.
N. English Bill of Rights
This document supplemented several documents prior to it, beginning with the Magna Carta, heralding
the collapse of a capricious and tyrannicle "Divine Right of Kings". Prior to the English Bill of Rights,

which states limitations on the monarch in favor of the right of the Parliament to act representatively
for the people, as a means of securing the rights of the people; was the Petition of Rights. The Petition
of Rights most eloquently laid out and matter-of-factly established the laws of the land later recognized
in the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights is the third document to seal the formal, written limitation of
the British monarch, where as before only verbal and temporary repreives were made. The Bill of
Rights would then become a precursor that the American colonists used in forging thier founding
documents, along with Locke's Treatise, and the Magna Carta.
O. John Locke: Sovereignty is Civil Government
John Locke charted out civilization in a way that makes one think that laws for every sphere can be
found by principles in Scripture. He identified the “State of Nature”, in which he supposes all men
originally begin in. He identifies private property, which he states men who mix their work with
objects in nature have an exclusive right to. He claims that this private property is then an extension of
the person, as disregarded the rights of a person's property is disrespecting the person. In addition to
this, disregarding the private property disregards the value of the work the person put into it, making
that person a slave. He Identifies the “State of War”, in which he states the a person who attempts to
harm another in any way declares war on that person, at which point the person in jeopardy has a right
and responsibility to defend himself, and those who might then be in jeopardy by the future actions of
the dangerous individual. He supposes the a person has a right of use, and a right of essence. In the
case of an object he has mixed his work with, he can claim the right of ownership of the things essence.
But in the case of people, including himself, he cannot claim the right of the ownership of his essence,
because he did not create himself. In this he states that God has the exclusive right over people, having
created them.
Locke goes into meticulous detail, surveying “Slavery”. He states that slavery is permitted in
the event that a just penalty for him be to kill him, any lesser penalty is also allowed, including slavery.
Locke defines the dissolution of government, in that a monarch or executive power is taking too many
liberties, a commonwealth or civil body has the right and responsibility to disregard his despotical
instructions. He defines the different branches of civil government: Legislative, Executive, and
Federative. By Federation, he means the security and management of freedom by interactions out of
from within the civil body. He also articulates Prerogative power of the Legislative. He defines
prerogative as the immediate decision-making privilege in the midst of emergency. He states that it is
limited by it's use only for the benefit of the commonwealth, and anything else is tyranny. He expands
on the particulars of Conquest among common wealth. He makes clear that a conqueror has the ability
to attack a threat, but not confiscate property in the event, but only stop the threat of harm, and
preventing it's future occurrence. He goes into detail on Usurpation. He identifies this as the correct
use of a power by the wrong person. He brings clarity on Tyranny. He states that it is the use of power
to subject the commonwealth to harm.
P. Charles de Montesquieu
Montesquieu, in observing the civil government system of England, made the entirely extraordinary
discovery of the three separate branches of civil government: Legislative, Executive, and Judiciary.
These are known as the “Title deeds of Humanity”. This startling discovery has ironically very radical
application on several dimensions, beginning at a self-government level. The individual actually
applies these three concepts in his daily activities. The first step is his Reasoning process (Legislative),
or planing, then his acting it out (Executive), and then his assesment of the action (Judiciary).

KINGDOM SOCIETY
i. Legislative:
The first organizational party the civil society gives consent to have power them. They are given the
hardy task of framing a Constitution, which is the first written document to define the laws that will
govern the civil body. As the bulk of their duty is to enact and revise laws, they are not required to be
perpetually in office, but rather meet together in assemblies.
ii. Executive:
This branch of civil government is to simply execute laws enacted by the Legislative. The Monarch or
or Chief Executive Officier has the prerogitive in directing the society at a moment's notice. His
position must be held full-time, as the Legislative is not. He must hold the Legislative in check with
his veto power, and have the character attributes to submit to correction and rebuke. This branch also
emcompasses several different levels, including national, state or provincial, and local law
enforcement.
iii. Judiciary:
This is the thrird category of government. It is the judgement of the planning and acting. It filters the
imcomplete or grossly incorrect dicsions made by the Legislative. It can overturn decisions made, as
they compare with the original constitiution that all laws are to be based on. The Judiciary is the
closest civil governing branch directing interact with the citizen's.
Q. William Blackstone: Individual Rights as the law of the land
William Blackstone, in 1765, published Commentaries on the laws of England in which he articulates
the essence of laws back to their very origins. He ruthlessly pounds out comprehensive details from
their purpose by the Creator, to their function in civil government. It is because of this that legal
precedents have taken the place of Blackstone law structure, though he is still certainly recognized and
revered. His work surveyed the nature of laws, looking at the laws of nature and physics, the laws of
the will and morality, and revealed law, as received by God. By his assessment, men do not create
laws, either physical, moral, or even civil; they just discover how things already are in reality.
R. Jamestown: The English Representative Principle
This was an experiment by England in the New World to outsource and collect on the wealth of the
new continent. The plantation of Jamestown operated completely on a shared property scenario. All
harvested goods were to be shared with the plantation members. The plantation was led by John Smith.
The excursion was the story of famines, bloodshed, internal conflict as a result of disunity in the
plantation, and disease. The colony endured with reinforcements from England, and having discovered
traces of gold, all men became very industrious and hard-working. In the end though, the colony is
abandoned
S. Plymouth: Christianity, the basis of local self-government
The colony of Plymouth is the image of self-government in our American history. It represents the first
successful teamwork-driven community, and very well documented, as if by providence of God.
William Bradford is the historian credited with documenting not only the details of the colony itself,
but of the people, and their entire endeavor originating in England. The Pilgrims were hired through a
charter from England, and were expected to work to pay off the money given for their voyage. They
experience excruciating difficulty in the first year, losing half of their original crew due to the severe
winter. Yet their religious freedom being the purpose of their move west to the New World, not one
would return on a ship back to England when one was offered. They knew that this was their chance to
live in ecclesiastical freedom, and external civil. They had a wise and prudent governor over them, and
all looked to God as their guide and provider.

T. The Mayflower Compact: “For the glory of God, for the advance of the Christian faith...”
This momentous event began a new era in Christianity, and the world. For here men engaged in
voluntary self-government. They committed to follow a basic constitution in the absence of their
original authorities at their originally-intended destination in Virginia. It laid out a profound example
of their expectations of authority that could be demonstrated by self-government. The Pilgrims aboard
the Mayflower were also accompanied by those whom William Bradford called “strangers”. Having
having a concern for the prospect of landing in New England with no official authoritative structure to
submit to, they had framed and forty-one signed the famous document. They mutually agreed to be a
“civil body politic”. They claimed submission to the King of England, and a goal to advance the
Christian faith.
III. The Pulpit and the Revolution
The patriotism of the American Revolution can be largely attributed to the Pastor's preaching on civil
government, and the politics were often the substance of sermons. The clergy and laymen alike
understood that Christian liberty is to be preserved both internally, and externally. It was all too
obvious that the internal principles they held should show up in the political arena's of their times. In a
quotation Rev. John Witherspoon's “The uncorrupted patriot”, during a Fast day called for by the
Continental Congress, of which he was a member, he writes:
“...it is in the man of piety and inward principle that we may expect to find the uncorrupted patriot,
the useful citizen, and the invincible soldier, – God grant that in America true religion and civil
liberty may be inseparable, and the unjust attempts to destroy the one, may in the issue tend to the
support and establishment of both.”

IV.America Declares Herself an Individual Nation
A. Christianity: Internal Liberty Produces external freedom
Liberty, properly understood, is found in the transforming character of God, demonstrated by sending
His Son to Earth to atone for the sins of men. Love is the force that conquers, that transcends the
expectations of men, and the physical limitations set in place by God to hold the universe in balance.
Love is the self-actualizing principle in the universe that will never get off track. If there is one
principle in all the universe that is kept that will alone carry civilization along, it will be love.
Neander, in an essay on Christian Life writes with an objective viewpoint on the transformation that
takes place in a man's heart, as well as the more subtle transformation of the larger society. He ascribes
the construction of Christianity to be of divine, external origin. “Christianity could not have taken a
firm grasp on society if it had not penetrated it by it's divine power, and thus verified itself to be indeed
that which alone can satisfy the higher necessities of the inner man.”
Neander identifies the attribute of the image of God that produces our ability to chose: free will.
He brings up the submission of sacrifice in the construct of religion. He suggests that sacrifice is “only
desired from free hearts. If you force us to sacrifice, you will give nothing to your god's, for they will
not desire any forced sacrifices'...” Neander makes a strong claim that the contrast it presented with
