1. Carla Jaye is an 18 year old up and
coming Singer / songwriter from
London. She has recently appeared on
Link up TV to do a video cover of “A
Woman’s Worth” by Alicia Keys, which
has been uploaded onto
worldstarhiphop.com, and received a
remarkable 120,000 views in just
under 2 weeks. Since then, Carla has
been requested to do a number of
shows where she has performed
various covers, such as The Script –
Breakeven and Stevie Wonder –
Overjoyed just to name a couple. She
has also performed some of her own
songs from her forthcoming album.

2. Carla Jaye is dominantly an
R&B/Indie singer. However, she is
perfectly capable of singing songs
which are outside of her comfort
zone without any problems, as
demonstrated with her cover of
Breakeven by The Script, who are an
indie rock band. Carla Jaye is similar

3. Carla Jaye would most likely cater for quite an urban group of
females inbetween the ages of 16 – 35. The reason I say this is
because Carla Jaye is 18 years old, born and raised in London, and
by singing from her lifes experiences, other young females around
this age (16 – 25) may be able to identify with the lyrics in her songs
and may then choose to listen to them. Some young females may
also see Carla Jaye as a role model or an inspiration, particularly the
younger age group. I feel that women in between the ages of 25 –
35 would listen to Carla Jaye’s music because she is similar to other
famous female artists in the music industry, and many females in
the general public tend to listen to female artists because they
generally make songs about ‘female power’. I dont think that any
specific ethnic group would listen to Carla Jaye’s music because she
is of mixed heritage her self, so I imagine that the ethnicity of the
target audience would be quite diverse.
