This document discusses problems with implementing chat bots as microservices, listing seven key issues: chat bots produce garbage data, can experience periods of unresponsiveness or silence, tend to be overly verbose, require abuse filters that could block valid users, are prone to conflicts when multiple instances are running, have issues with statefulness that is difficult for microservices, and have fragility due to high dependency on external services. The author provides their perspective on these challenges with chat bots as microservices.
