Gate Quays lies in a prominent position overlooking Marine Gardens (a
pleasantly restored small Public Gardens area), the beach, and the North
Sea beyond. It is less than a minutes walk from the High Street shops
and amusement arcades fronting the esplanade. It is also a short walk to
the bus and railway stations, with quality wine bars and restaurants close
by.
London is approximately 69 miles to the west, with access via the A299
(which has recently been upgraded to a dual carriageway) and the M2
and A2. London Manston Airport lies approximately 14 miles to the
South with regular flights to european destinations. The rail service to
London takes about 90 minutes. Margate itself is a popular seaside resort,
particularly for South and East Londoners seeking short holiday breaks
at the seaside.
