1. Putting my kids on a diet – they’re worth it!

Michelle Obama has been in the news a lot lately for her work with helping schools to build a
healthier future for our children – an admirable cause.
I know that kids can be very picky eaters
This is because they have double or more the amount of taste buds that we as adults have.
In my son’s case, it’s more his chlorophobia that is causing him to avoid any green foods.(It
doesn’t affect him when it comes to eating sweets though…)
This need not be any problem if your child is taking a superior quality supplement, though. Many
school aged kids skip breakfast or eat something quick and nutritionally deficient on the run.
Those who do eat, usually consume sugar-laden, nutritionally weak cereals or bread with an
equally unhealthy spread.
People who have heard about my kids taking “diet stuff” have condemned me for putting
my kids’ lives at risk
In fact, I took Herbalife all through my pregnancy!

2. No – I was not trying to lose weight, but I wanted to give my kids the best start in life – good
nutrition. During pregnancy you should take your shakes full-bodied with yogurt, milk and
whatever the cravings suggest. Apple cravings are not good when you don’t like fruit, ask me, I
know. And I don’t enjoy fruity shakes – so I mixed choc-cherry yogurt with vanilla or chocolate
shake and milk – 4 times a day. At night I enjoyed a generous home-cooked meal.
They were born at a healthy 5.72lbs (2.6kg) and 6.82lbs (3.1kg) at full term, which I was told is
good for twins.
They had their first “real” full-on shake mixed in milk when they were only 5 days old. That’s
the day when I came out of hospital and begged Wade to give me a HUGE BIG strawberry
shake in the hopes that it would take away the massive epidural induced migraine that had been
plaguing me all the while I was in hospital.
It’s not healthy for kids to diet! They will get sick!
Firstly, the products are not diet products – they are nutritional products that contain no “diet”
properties. Good nutrition brings amazing results that range from weight loss to healthy, focused
children.
As a home school mother with a borderline ADHD child, I have come to understand the
importance of a substantial, balanced breakfast
There must be some protein to keep her satisfied for longer and some carbs as fuel to keep
her energized. Additionally, I give her a protein meal to supply the necessary nutrition, which
lacks in the fruits and raw veggies (and sweets) which she snacks on during the day. Okay,
okay, I am told that she doesn’t only snack on unhealthy stuff, but also on Formula 1 bars. My
apologies!!!
My son is rather lazy and battles to focus, so breakfast is followed by a lemony Nature’s
Raw Guarana drink and when his eyes glaze over like they are right now (when he is not
understanding something) I give him a quick herbal beverage to boost his energy levels.
That, and a quick run around the house usually gets him sparked up and energized enough to
tackle his job with renewed vigor.
Although we do an annual B-complex campaign (one injection a week for 6 weeks as advised
by ADHD/Autism experts), we believe that good nutrition will stand them in much better stead
on an ongoing basis.
I am blessed with very healthy, balanced children
Since the children were born, we have had the occasional doctor / hospital trip due to broken
arms, teeth and similar issues, but hardly ever for sickness. In fact, I think the last time we went
to a pharmacy sister to get antibiotics was when Debbie was 5. They have had no allergies, no
grommets and only one ear infection in almost 10 years and I attribute that to the fact that they
had the best nutrition from even before conception.

3. Mom, when can we get Herbalife again?
That was a constant nag in our house for a long time and when Wade walked into the house
with a Herbalife bag, the kids were so excited. It’s pretty cute, actually.
Even old people swear by it!
My father-in-law swears by NRG to help him focus at work. What a man – despite having Polio
as a baby, he’s had a full life. He played cricket as a young man despite his physical handicaps
and today, at age 79, he still holds down 2 jobs. He takes protein shakes when he is in a hurry
and his “water tablets” (herbal complex) to help him manage the symptoms of Mennniere’s
Disease.
If kids can do it, so can you!
They recently made their first sale and asked for a Herbalife business kit and cell phone for their
16th birthday.
Whoever said home schooled kids are not socialized is probably the same person who believes
that he or she can’t sell. If my 9-year old’s are so tuned into their own good health and so
passionate about the products that people wanted what they had – then anyone can do it.
