Dear Mr. Volkan Gudelek,
It is my great pleasure and privilege to
invite you to come on January 14, 2016 to
coordinate with I-shou University and
organize the Basketball Inter-University
Competition (IBC) and the 31st AUAP-ISHOU-IAUP
Conference, which will be held on January 18-23,
2016 in Kaohsiung, the "Harbor Capital" of Taiwan.
The AUAP conference intends to create a
platform for all universities that are interested in
future development of higher education and
related research fields. The theme of the
conference is “Innovation and Entrepreneurship:
Their Roles in the Rapid Development of Higher
Education in Asia and the Pacific.” We have invited
distinguished guest speakers from Japan, Taiwan,
Thailand, and USA to share their experience and lead the
discussion on how higher education institutions could
expand their capacity through innovation and how they
could bond themselves with local and international
enterprises to support their institutional development.
To promote the interaction among AUAP members, we
will organize the “Get to Know You” session in which the
universities that wish to sign the Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) to promote further exchange in
research, students, and faculty may freely choose their

potential partners and promptly establish their
institutional linkages.
During your stay in our beautiful harbor city,
Kaohsiung, you will discover the wide range of
different natural attractions as well as the historical
sites and monuments: the Love River, the bay of
Xiziwan, the largest Buddhist temple in Taiwan, the
Foguangshan Temple, night market and newly
developed leisure parks such as the Pier-2 Art
Center and the E-DA Theme Park.
