Cumpăna is a commune located in Constanța County, Romania. It has a population of around 11,658 and includes the village of Cumpăna. In recent years, Cumpăna has become a popular residential area for people leaving the crowded city of Constanța due to developments like sewage infrastructure and proximity to supermarkets. Cumpăna has two Orthodox churches and one Pentecostal church and was awarded the title of "European Village" by the European Union in 2007.
