I was trained in conventional cardiology and was a consultant performing angioplasty between 1998-2003, but soon realised that the doctor patient relationship favours doctors at the expense of patients. It is clear that the unhealthy power relationship leads many patients to have basic misunderstandings about their condition and the effectiveness of treatments. We believe that many angina procedures are performed unnecessarily.
