Tambuzi is a Kenyan company that grows traditional garden roses. It has created Rosehip & Bloom to distribute these roses in the Middle East. Rosehip & Bloom will receive biweekly shipments of roses directly from Tambuzi's farm in Kenya, ensuring the roses last longer than those that previously shipped through Holland. The roses from Rosehip & Bloom are available for weekly standing orders and events like weddings.
2. About Rosehip & Bloom
Rosehip & Bloom has been formed by Tambuzi to
create a distribution hub in Middle East for their
unique range of scented David Austin and garden
roses.
With direct shipments coming from Kenya the Roses
will not come through Holland as was the case before
which will increase the shelve life of the roses and you
can be confident that they will be perfect for your big
event.
Shipments will arrive twice weekly and will be
available for weekly standing orders, events and
weddings.
3. TAMBUZI Background
WHO WE ARE
In the mid-1990s, Tim and Maggie Hobbs - a young and dynamic couple
with Kenyan roots, came across a beautiful, derelict farm on the foot hills of
Mount Kenya only miles from the equator. The 64 hectare farm, originally a
dairy and beef farm, was up for sale and with its perfect conditions for
growing roses the Hobbs bought and developed it into what it is today: a
specialist supplier of traditional garden scented roses- the only one in Kenya.
Today, Tambuzi Ltd. has 25 hectares under horticultural production, with
the rest dedicated to sustainable forestry, bee keeping, vegetables and
livestock. It is also home to Tim, Maggie and their three young children.
Tambuzi is a company driven not just for profit but with the intention of
improving the world around it. The company’s strapline ‘stop and smell the
roses’ sends a simple message – to slow down, notice and enjoy everything
around you. The company strongly believes in the concept of shared values,
and it considers the welfare of its employees and the neighbouring
communities to be part of its strength. Tambuzi uses the best practice
methods possible to ensure that there are no negative impacts on the
integrity of the environment. We are proud to be one of only five ‘gold’
certified members of the Kenya Flower Council.

9. PAVLOVA
Its profusion of petals opens up to resemble a
ballerina’s frilly tutu. A soft green outer opens to a
delicate pink, peach centre. It can stand alone, but
also compliments pink, peach, apricot and pastel
arrangements.

12. VIRIDI FLORA
Yes, this is a rose! Instead of normal petals, a
proliferation of green leaves form the flower. They
were first seen by Chinese emperors and this addition
to our collection has always caused a stir and provides
the florist with something truly unique. To our
knowledge, we are the only grower of this variety in
the world.
