Is Wireless Temperature Sensor Superior
to Wired Sensor?
A remote warehouse temperature data logger (or sensor) is a small WiFi
thermometer that stores data and connects to the Internet. It measures
and logs ambient temperature data, which is saved on the device as well as
wirelessly transmitted (by WiFi, Bluetooth, or GSM) to an online storage and
processing system referred to as the Cloud, from which the data can be
shared or acted upon.
When considering a warehouse temperature monitoring system, the three
most significant aspects to consider are:
Installation and operation costs
The installed sensor network's scalability and flexibility
The fitted sensors' dependability
Although wired and wireless sensors have advantages and disadvantages,
wireless temperature sensors are the way to go for most cold chain
warehouse applications.
Wireless temperature sensor systems are significantly less
expensive to install and operate than their wired counterparts.
There is no need to run wiring or dig up the floor to accommodate network
and power cable conduits. Because of the ease with which a wireless
warehouse temperature sensor network may be deployed, it is also easier to
deploy in shared storage areas or older facilities that may not be able to
support the additional equipment.
A wireless sensor network's adaptability makes it simple to deploy,
alter, and scale.
To set up a wireless warehouse temperature monitoring system, all you need
are some well-placed temperature sensors and Internet connection points
