I am a licensed and boarded Internal Medicine physician practicing as a Hospitalist, a field of medicine which focuses on acute, in-patient care. Hospitalists are a new breed of physicians that were an organic genesis of the current changes in medicine, mostly borne of managed care changes to the practice of medicine. The hospitalists’ movement encompasses clinical care, teaching, research, and leadership.
