Carrental
1. How to Obtain a Car Rental
A person can make use of a car rental for many purposes. Vacationers can use rental
cars so they have a reliable automobile to take them the distance. By renting an
automobile, consumers are sparing themselves the expense of putting repairs on their
family cars. Rental cars are also very useful when a person's main vehicle breaks down.
People must continue to report to work even when the regular car is not available.
Therefore, renting a vehicle is the perfect choice in an emergency. Additionally, some
consumers love to try new and exciting vehicles without the responsibility of buying or
leasing. In this case, a rental car is perfect.
To rent a car, one must have a valid driver's license with no accidents in the past
three years. Rental companies want to feel secure that they are letting reliable
adults use their vehicles. Therefore, most companies will order a motor vehicle
report before making a decision to let someone rent. Drivers must also have a list of
personal references. References are people who can speak with the rental company
representative and say something positive about the renter as a person. Rental
companies would like to know that they could rely on their customers to bring the
vehicles back every time.
Another item a person must have when renting a car is automobile insurance. Some
rental companies offer additional separate insurance. However, the companies expect
each driver to have a policy of his or her own.
Car rental companies require a prospective renter to pay a deposit before leaving
with a rental car. Each company's deposit may vary. The companies usually take such
deposits by credit card. They will hold a certain amount of funds until the driver brings
the car back. When the driver returns, the auto rental company will release the deposit
minus the rental fees.
