About
Thomas grew up in Milan, Italy. In his early 20’s he moved to Boston, Massachusetts before moving to Halifax, Nova Scotia. There, a course in statistics made him discover the beauty of data. He completed his degree in Statistics with an emphasis in Biostatistics.
For nearly a decade, Thomas served as an applied cancer Statistician. One of his memorable analysis was assessing whether the efficacy of stem cells transplants decreased if donor’ stem cells were not immediately frozen upon collection. The results were utilized to reduce costs in the transplantation unit without sacrificing patient safety.
