Panels
The panels have a width of 2500 mm and are available in a range of heights:
from 1030 to 2030 mm. The panels have vertical barbs of 30 mm at one side,
the barbs can be placed at the top or at the bottom.
The horizontal reinforcements give the panels extra rigidity.
The meshes are 100 x 50 mm, as well as the reinforcements.
The wire diameter is 4,5 mm.

Bekafix Post System
The panels are fixed lateral on the posts with
specific fixators made out of polyamide or metal
(security). The welded tubular posts (70 x 44 mm),
in H-shape are covered with a plastic cap.

Lateral fixing of the Nylofor Medium panels on the
Bekafast post. Without accessories. Perfect fixing
of the reinforcements of the panel in the post pro-
file. The Bekafast posts (60 x 50 mm) are covered

Square post system
The panels are fixed on the front side of the posts by
means of fixators and security bolts. The welded square
tubular posts (60 x 60 x 1,50 mm) have inserts for fixing
the panels with the fixators and are covered with a
plastic cap.
Gates
The Nylofor Medium system is totally finished and safely equipped with high
tech gates type Nylofor or Robusta: single and double gates, swing and sliding
gates.
Coating techniques
Panels made out of galvanised wires. A pre-treatment process guarantees a
perfect PVC-coating adhesion to the product surface.
The posts are in- and outside galvanised (min. coating 275g/m2
, both sides
together), in accordance with Euro norm 10326. Afterwards an adhesion

Beneﬁts
Large range
There are 3 versions of cantilever sliding gate, the choice being determined by the size of the opening required.
Each of the 3 types of gate, from 3 to 12 m, can be equipped with Bekamatic motorisation.
Safety
The distance between the vertical bars is 110 mm, to prevent climbing through. Fitting the roller system in the
underbeam also avoids accidents.
Complete system
The cantilever sliding gate can also be used in conjunction with Robusta swing gates and Robusta panels.
Harmony
Robusta gates completely harmonise with all styles of architecture.
Security of Operation
Robusta gates are extremely rigid due to their section and the welded construction.
Ingenious tension system
An ingenious tension system is integrated in the frame of the cantilever sliding gates to guarantee a perfect line
at all times.
Pre-assembled
Robusta cantilever sliding gates are fully pre-assembled at the factory to ensure a rapid and trouble-free
installation on the site. All gates are delivered on crane off-load vehicles.

Gate wing
- Welded structure.
- Provided with a cylinder lock (for manual gates)
- Security topping optional for all heights.
- The frame is provided at the top and the bottom with guiding rolls for a
perfect entering in the end post bridge.
- Two sets of rolls in the underbeam for horizontal and vertical guiding.
- Some types of gates have a roll to support the gate in open condition.
Guidance of the gate
- Guiding posts and end posts with welded ground plates.
- The guiding posts have 2 guiding rolls at the top and an integrated baseplate
for the installation of 1 set of guiding rolls that is situated in the underbeam.
- Special guiding posts with integrated electronics are used for motorisation.
- The end posts of the not motorised gate have a lock system integrated.
Tension system
An aesthetical tensioning system integrated in the frame
garantuees a perfect line of the gate.
Coating technique
Robusta gates are treated with the best coating processes existing today:
galvanised in- and outside (minimum 275 g/m2
, 2 sides combined).
Afterwards an adhesion coating is applied (epoxy) and ﬁnally the gates are
plastic coated (polyester) (min. 120 micron both layers together).

The motorisation Bekamatic is
specially developed by Betafence
for the automation of Robusta
cantilever sliding gates.
Beneﬁts
Integrated
The Bekamatic motorisation as well as the steering are integrated in the gate, at the factory. This results in a
motorised cantilever sliding gate with an attractive design and guarantees a silent operation.
Security of operation
Integration of the drive motor in the gate and the electronic controls in an integral cabinet offer two innovative
advantages: improved protection against climatic conditions and vandalism.
Access Control
The controls can be adapted to suit every project and to the demands of the customer. There are many options:
key switch, button with three functions, RF-remote control, key pad, magnetic card reader, gate light,
videophone/parlophone control, timer clock, etc.
Maximum security
To avoid the risk of trapping people or objects, Robusta motorised gates are equipped with special security
precautions.
Pre-assembled
The installation of the Robusta Cantilever gates is fast and eliminates assembly errors as the gate is delivered
pre-assembled.
Especially for industry and situations where
access control is recommended.

Motorisation Bekamatic
The Bekamatic motorisation is available in two different executions.
The Bekamatic Classic comprises a motor/reductor with stainless steel spring
loaded locking system which is integrated in the underbeam and which
guarantees an optimal drive.
For the heaviest type of cantilever
sliding gate, the Robusta 2800,
Betafence developed the Bekamatic
Industry motorisation. In this case, the
motor/reductor is integrated in the
guiding post. This type of automation
guarantuees a perfect
operation in the most extreme
conditions. The Robusta 2000 can be
equipped with either Bekamatic or Bekamatic Industry motorisation.
A mechanical locking system prevents the gate from being opened manually
once the gate has been automatically closed.
Manual unlocking system
A manual over-ride system disconnects the motor from the gate and permits
manual opening and closing of the gate.
Controller
Betafence has developed a
high-quality steering unit.
A control unit with microprocessor
manages the general functions and
contains the control logic. A separate
unit contains the special functions for
acces control.
Maximum Security
Robusta motorised cantilever sliding gates comply with:
- The Machine Directive
- The Low voltage Directive
- The EMC Directive
- Construction Products Directives (CPD)
Also TÜV certified: this certification
confirms that the gates comply with
the requirements of the European
Standard EN 12453 in every aspect
of mechanical, motorisation, electro-
nics and security specifications.
Photocells
The passage of the gate is controlled by means of photocells. In case of
activating the cells, the gate will completely open again.
The photocells are installed at the guiding posts and end post.
At the inside of the site: 60 cm high at the outside of the fence or 25 cm high.
Pressure strips Å
The front of the gate wing is fitted with a pressure strip. The guiding post of the
Robusta Bekamatic gate is also fitted with 4 pressure strips: two at the front
and two at the back side.
Any contact with the pressure strips immediately stops and reverses the
movement of the gate. At the street side one of the pressure strips can be
replaced by a Securifor panel system.
Security stop Ç
The gates are equipped with a main switch (yellow/red) through which the
power supply can be isolated.
Access control
The controls are designed to be adapted to the special demands of the
customer.
A choice of multiple access control accessories are installed at the request of
the customer: key switch, RF- remote control, key pad, proximity card reader,
flashlight on the gate post, digital code keypad, videophone/
parlophone, timer clock, induction loop detector. These elements are installed
on the guiding post, the end post, or on a separate column on request.
CE marked
Bekamatic motorized gates are CE marked according to the European directive:
Construction products directive (89/106/EC), low voltage directive (73/23/EEG),
EMC directive (2004/108/EG), Machine directive (98/37/EG) and type tested
according to standard EN 13241-1 for industrial, commercial and garage doors
and gates.

Systems
The Standard Razor Tape system of Betafence has a wire diameter of 2.5mm and consists of a
continuous mild steel strip that is enclosed with sharp blades. All coils are clipped together to obtain a
stable and homogeneous network.
Flat wrap: This is a network of spirals that are clipped and has a ﬂat
overlap.
The razor wire is a single ribbon of barbed wire with sharp blades
that are unclipped and stretched above the fence.
