1. BBC Radio 1's TeenAwards
BBC Radio 1
BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards
recognise heroes in everyday
life and the celebrity world.
Nominations from all over the
UK were received for siblings,
carers, fundraisers or just great
mates – aged 12-17 – who had done
something truly out of the ordinary
or selfless. The awards were
presented by Fearne Cotton and
Nick Grimshaw at The Hammersmith
Apollo, in a glamorous event
featuring performances from
Katy Perry, JLS and Taylor Swift.
We were asked to create an identity
for the Teen Awards which was
suitably youthful and energetic,
with bright, bold graphics. The
striking look uses a diverse range
of typefaces and colour with a
celebratory, showbiz feel. The
assets were used online, for
event merchandise, the stage
set and an animated TV spot
made by our chums at Fallon.
