6 Ways I Know I'm a Proud Otaku
1. 6 Ways I Know I’m An Otaku
And I’m Loving Every Minute Of It!
2. I Most Definitely Love Anime.
Ever since I saw Sailor Moon, anime has always fascinated me.
Cartoon Network creating Toonami only multiplied my interest.
I was excited upon finding out that there’s more than TV.
Anime shops like Suncoast and FYE were like candy stores.
Although they technically were since they did have pocky.
I am subscribed to every anime and manga magazine I know
about
3. I Most Definitely Love Japanese Video Games
Nintendo rules! There’s no other way to put it.
Having tried out other consoles, Nintendo beats them all.
They know to keep their focus on playing the games.
I can always buy a smart TV, cd player, and blu - ray.
So there’s no need for my console to have any of that stuff.
All of my Nintendos are still working just fine today.
4. I Most Definitely Love Manga And Light Novels
The Sailor Moon manga was an awesome start.
Even if it was a bit on the long - winded side.
.hack A I Buster was quite the interesting first light novel.
Certainly a lot more interesting than any normal novel.
I’ve got a lot of manga, but not finding light novels.
But I’m not going to stop looking for them anytime soon.
5. I’ve Found A Very Good Use For Hollywood’s Failures
I love using them to trick anime haters into watching anime.
Sure they suck to Otaku, but anime haters don’t know that.
All they know is that they’re watching a very good movie.
And by it being live - action, they don’t know it’s anime.
And they always coming away having enjoyed the movie.
Guess they don’t hate anime as much as they put on.
6. I Love Anime Based Merchandise And Living The Otaku Life
Nothing feels cooler than being pimped out in Otaku gear.
I love all of my anime and video game t - shirts.
I love hanging out at anime shops like FYE or Otaku Hobbies.
I love that my room is decorated in anime posters.
I never before had an interest in music or music artist.
But I now love Hatsune Miku and Super Sonico.
7. I Love Hanging Out At Anime Conventions
I’ve always wanted to go since I heard of them in magazines.
My first anime magazines only mentioned those in California.
So I thought I’d never be able to get to an anime convention.
I thought I’d just have to settle for the anime events at
FYE.
But then Ramencon came to town and I could finally attend
one.
Now if only they would move back or have pre-con events here.
