I am passionate about the oil industry. The oil industry is possibly the most interesting of all businesses for many reasons. Oil/Gas represent the most dynamic and powerful industry in the world. Politics, environmentalism, economics, and technology are among the many influences that the oil industry are subject to. Because of this, the field itself is explosive (literally) and exciting. In particular, I am interested in reservoir engineering because this field is concerned with the optimization and location of oil wells, which I have been fascinated with ever since I attended an organic chemistry lecture at UCLA regarding various chemical properties of hydrocarbons.
