speaking business’s bottom line.
1. MAKE NOTES
IMMEDIATELY.
This will help immensely in remembering who was
who after the event.
Write on the back of their business
card, or in a notebook with their
name some notes about the
conversation and anything relevant.

and/or that demonstrated a

2. CATEGORIZE AND TAKE ACTION ACCORDINGLY.

to schedule a time to meet again.
Follow up with new followers you got from the event by sending a quick DM.
Browse through their most recent tweets and retweet or like anything that relate to your topic or
industry. Connect with them, understand their brands, and create a more immediate connection.

Input all the contacts into your CRM and add
your notes so you can send tailored
communications to them in the future.
Send connection requests to all the new
contacts on LinkedIn.
When sending a connection request,  type a
personalized message reminding them of
how you met.

5. Send them a personalized
Email a reintroduction to the contact thanking them for their time and
wishing them safe travels back from the event.
When the contact expresses interest or wants to know more about our
services, I provide them with more information as requested and let them
know that they are free to contact me directly.

  • 2. TURNING BUSINESS CARDS INTO LEADS Being able to turn business cards and casual conversations at networking events into business leads and paid speaking gigs can have a major impact on your speaking business’s bottom line.
  • 3. 1. MAKE NOTES IMMEDIATELY. This will help immensely in remembering who was who after the event. Write on the back of their business card, or in a notebook with their name some notes about the conversation and anything relevant.
  • 4. VALUABLE LEADS Prospects who would be considered an ideal client and/or that demonstrated a strong level of interest in working with you. Prospects who need to be qualified. They might be seriously interested or they may not, and even if they are you're not certain they are qualified. QUALIFY LEADS GOOD CONTACTS Individuals you can build a relationship with. You might work together down the road, refer business to each other, or simply go out for beers together once in a while. 2. CATEGORIZE AND TAKE ACTION ACCORDINGLY.
  • 5. CONTACT VALUABLE LEADS RIGHT AFTER THE EVENT to schedule a time to meet again.
  • 6. Follow up with new followers you got from the event by sending a quick DM. Browse through their most recent tweets and retweet or like anything that relate to your topic or industry. Connect with them, understand their brands, and create a more immediate connection. ON TWITTER 3. CHECK THEM OUT 
  • 7. 4. CRMS & LINKEDIN Input all the contacts into your CRM and add your notes so you can send tailored communications to them in the future. Send connection requests to all the new contacts on LinkedIn. When sending a connection request,  type a personalized message reminding them of how you met.
  • 8. EMAIL 5. Send them a personalized Email a reintroduction to the contact thanking them for their time and wishing them safe travels back from the event. When the contact expresses interest or wants to know more about our services, I provide them with more information as requested and let them know that they are free to contact me directly.
