Work Experience
Currently working with the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), Department of Rural
Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh, as a Young Professional for a World Bank project
titled Andhra Pradesh Rural Inclusive Growth Project (APRIGP) since April 2015. APRIGP,
supported by financial assistance from the World Bank, aims at supporting the Govt. of Andhra
Pradesh’s goal of making the State poverty free by 2017 through a strategy of including the poor in
the benefits of economic growth and human development. My role is to support the Monitoring and
Evaluation unit in developing frameworks and analyzing data to evaluate the performance of SERP
and APRIGP. I also assist the Procurement Unit of SERP for APRIGP.
Roles and Responsibilities:
i. Involved in framing Terms of Reference, Memoranda of Understanding and Contracts for
bringing on board various Technical Support Agencies for SERP and APRIGP such as
Arvato, MART, CRISIL etc.
ii. Involved in evaluating Expressions of Interest of Technical Support Agencies for conducing
Baseline Study and Process Monitoring activities of APRIGP.
iii. Analyzed data pertaining to 11 lakh SHG-led micro-enterprises in Andhra Pradesh. The
analysis was done to enumerate the number of SHG-led micro-enterprises in the state and
to ascertain the broad sectors and sub-activities that the enterprises were engaged in. Of
the 90 lakh SHG members with SERP, 11 lakh were engaged in various enterprises in
sectors like agriculture and horticulture, food products, forest-based products, services etc.
iv. Coordinated logistics for SERP to conduct a survey on Food Enterprises started by SERP
in all 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. Formulated questionnaire, data entry sheets and

observation sheets and coordinated activities for 30 students of Tata Institute of Social
Sciences, Hyderabad to conduct the survey.
v. Analyzed data and developed reports and presentations for various surveys conducted by
SERP to gauge the effectiveness of their initiatives. Surveys were conducted to ascertain
the effectiveness of SERP’s non-farm initiatives. A survey was conducted to ascertain the
business requirements of the food enterprises started by SERP and run by SHG members.
A sample of 103 food enterprises across the state was analyzed to gather findings on
various data points such as cost, sales, profit, training, supporting etc.
vi. Responsible for maintaining the District Performance Report Card and Public Perceptions
Report for SERP. These reports provided yearly progress of SERP’s various initiatives such
as institution building, savings, corpus, investment capital, bank loans etc.
vii. Nominated to represent SERP as a participant in Performance Management and Delivery
Unit (PEMANDU), Government of Malaysia to assist in drafting an implementation plan for
advancing the unorganized retail chain for Andhra Pradesh.
viii. Actively involved in drafting Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Expressions of Interest
(EoIs) for procurement of goods/individual consultants/agencies for SERP and APRIGP.
Volunteer experience
 Worked with PEACE (Peoples Action for Creative Education), supported by NABARD in
Jagdevpur Mandal in Medak district of Telangana in October 2013. This was part of the course
on Experiential Learning in the TISS curriculum. An analysis was done of the structure of SHGs
and their credit utilization patterns.
 Worked with the Chhattisgarh Social Audit Unit as a Village Social Auditor (VSA) in May 2014
and facilitated trainings for VSAs and attended meetings with officials at the Panchayat level
regarding auditing the books of NREGA, Mid-Day Meal Scheme, IAY etc.
 Worked with Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) for administering a questionnaire
for a Sample Attrition Test in four villages of Nalgonda district of Telangana for the Velugu
Panel Resurvey in March 2015.
