1. The Panchbhootas And Their Directions
People in India have been following Vastu Shastra since ages. The human life and the
environment they live in are composed of fiv e basic elements called ‘Panchbhoota’, i.e Water,
Air, Fire, Space and Earth. The life of every human being revolves around these 5 elements.
Therefore, it is very necessary that a right balance must be maintained between these 5 forces
of nature. This not only helps in making our environment positive but also brings along a lot of
good and healthy things in our life.
Pandit Pawan Kaushik, one of the top Astrologers in Delhi NCR explains it in a simpler way,
“Vastu Shastra is all about respecting the directions of the panchbhootas. If a person is able to
make his residential or commercial space Vastu-compliant, the benefits are unimaginable!”
Panchbhootas and their ideal directions
Water- No human life is possible without the presence of water. It is one of the most essential
elements and rules the North-East direction according to Vastu Shastra. North-East is the ideal
direction as it has calmness, spiritual energies and provides knowledge to a person.
Fire- According to Vastu Shastra, South-East is the right direction for fire. Kitchens must also be
made in this direction. Pandit Pawan Kaushik, a famous Vaastu Consultant in Gurgaon states
that this direction blesses a person with physical and professional well-being. Also, all the
electrical appliances in the house must be placed or kept in the South-East only to prevent any
fire hazards.
Air- The North-West direction in Vastu is ruled by Air. Without the presence of Air, we cannot
even think of surviving in any part of the house or offices or any other structure. This direction
promotes communication and guides a person in the right way.
2. Space- In Vastu Shastra this space is called Brahmasthaan or the central part of a structure. It
helps in clearing the mind of a person which is full of doubts and helps them in understanding
things in a better way. This area therefore must always be kept clutter-free.
Earth- In Vastu Shastra, Earth rules the South-West part of the house. This area of the house
must always be constructed higher than other parts of the house. It brings security and stability
in a person’s life. If you sit in this direction, you become authoritative and can run your house
and business in a better way.
If a person can successfully maintain balance of these panchbhootas, a lot of obstacles can be
removed from their lives. You can also use crystals; hang wind chimes; put up positive pictures
to enhance the vibrancy of your personal or professional space!
