The Solar Friendly Communities initiative - led by the Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA) - aims to encourage the expansion of solar energy by cutting the "soft costs" of solar development, or government requirements for permitting and inspections. Solar Friendly Communities is one of 22 Rooftop Solar Challenge teams in a program powered by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) SunShot Initiative.
