3. OPENING SCENE - DUSK
PERSEUS burst into the scene running. Then, the
background blackens showing a flashback to a week before.
PERSEUS(Off screen)
They say everyone has gods to suit their
circumstances.Not for me. I’ve learnt to not
live by that.Just like everyone else,
I was brought to this earth not knowing what to
expect of my life.But as I grew older I
realized I wasn’t like everyone else. I was
living an ordinary life until men decided to go
against the gods. This is when I found out, I am
a demigod and I was destined to make a change
in this world. My name is Perseus and this is my
story.
4. OLYMPUS - DAY
HADES() appears before the Olympians and asks for the
mortals to be punished for their defiance.
ZEUS
I created them and they reward my love with
defiance!
HADES
Hello brother. How long has it been? How long has
it been brother since you’ve seen my face?
ZEUS
Hades—
HADES
Endless years I’ve watched from the underworld
and saw your love towards them and how could they
deceive you like this.
ZEUS
(Calm anger)
What do you want brother?
HADES
Let me loose upon them. They will pray again. We
will grow strong again. You say it is love that
feeds us but you depend on their love.
ZEUS
You’re right. Their insolence has a price. The
children, they need to be reminded of the order
of things. Teach them, turn them against each
other and they will be back into our arms.
HADES
Yes.
ZEUS
Yes.
HADES
Oh yes.
ZEUS
Oh yeah-- now get out of my face.
5. KING’S PALACE - EVENING
King and Queen of Argos celebrating the campaign against
the gods. PERSEUS survives an attack by HADES, founded by
the soldiers of Argos is brought before the KING and
QUEEN.
KING CEPHEUS
People of Argos! ---TODAY shall be marked for all
of us. Today, we won and have obtained --
victory!
QUEEN CASSIOPEIA
There will be no gods in our way. We are the gods
now!
ANDROMEDAafraid of the consequences caused by going
against the gods interrupts the celebration.
ANDROMEDA
Have you seen what’s happening out there?
Shouldn’t we be afraid of the consequences and
sufferingof our people.
QUEEN CASSIOPEIA brushes off her daughter’s comments and
even compares Andromeda’s beauty to that of Aphrodite.
QUEEN CASSIOPEIA
Andromeda---you have the beauty like no other.
Not even against the gods and Aphrodite herself.
6. The celebration was interrupted by the arrival of Hades
who was given the permission by Zeus to punish the
mortals for their defiance.
HADES
Heard there was a party here. I LOVE PARTIES!
Go on, carry on what you were doing. I don’t want
to be in your way.
KINGCEPHEUS
Who are you and what are you doing here?
HADES
(Sarcastically)
Who am I? Who am I?Who here doesn’t know who I
am? I am Hades! –-Kneel!
Everyone in the palace is afraid and knelt before HADES.
HADES
In seven days, I will unleash the kraken unless--
the princess who you foolishlycompare to the
gods is sacrifice. This is the command of Zeus,
your father (looks at Perseus).
7. PRISON - EVENING
First appearance of IO at the prison caught Perseus off
guard.
IO
Hello Perseus. I am your guardian.
I have been watching you since you were an
infant.
PERSEUS
What brings you here?
IO
You are destined to save the people of Argos.
You are the son of Zeus, Perseus.
PERSEUS
No. I am no Son of God. I am a man.
And I am the son of a fisherman.
IO
Perseus we need your help.Only you are able to
defeat the Kraken. You should do it.
PERSEUS
I guess I will. Let’s go kill some gods.
8. DARK CAVERN - EVENING
The group went on a mission to meet the stygian witches
in order to find a solution in defeating the Kraken. It
is later reveal that they needed Medusa’s head--as even
in death, Medusa’s glare could still turn people to
stone.
WITCHES
What are you doing here?
PERSEUS
I want to know how to kill--
WITCH 1
I know why you’re here.
WITCH 2
You want to how know to kill the kraken!
WITCH 3
Wasted journey. You want to kill the Kraken?
Insane!
WITCH 2
The Kraken fears no weapon.
An altercation ensues. Perseus manages to get hold of the
eye and threatens to throw it down the cliff.
PERSEUS
I got your eyeball!
WITCH 1
Please no!
WITCH 2
Not the eyeball!
PERSEUS
Give me the answer!
WITCH 1
There’s a solution!
WITCH 2
A solution (echoes)
9. WITCH 3
Impossible one
PERSEUS
Ya?! (Threatens to drop the eye)
WITCHES
Medusa(echoes)
WITCH 1
Her gaze kills anything of flesh.
WITCH 2
Ya--
WITCHES
Give us the eye--
PERSEUS
Sucker(drops the eye).
PERSEUS leaves with IO after finding out the answer to
kill the kraken.
10. FOREST – AFTERNOON
IO make sure PERSEUS is aware of the danger of MEDUSA and
prepares him for combat.
IO
Are you ready for Medusa?
One gaze from her can turn anyone to stone.
A practice fight follows and PERSEUS manages to get rid
of IO’s sword, showing her that he is ready.
PERSEUS
(Sarcastically) Am I ready?
MEDUSA’S LAIR – LATE AFTERNOON
PERSEUS
I only know one good man in my life--my father.
Now I know one more. And two women.
My father told me someday someone was going to
have to take a stand. That day could be today.
Trust your senses and don’t look at this bitch in
the eyes.
KING’S GUARDS
Let’s do this shit!
Inside of MEDUSA’s lair. The fight scene begins. The
soldiers accompanying PERSEUS turned into stone but
PERSEUS succeeded in obtaining MEDUSA’S head.
11. ARGOS - EVENING
PERSEUS travels back to Argos with MEDUSA’s head. This
scene is also on the opening scene in which PERSEUS was
running.
HADES
Unleash the Kraken!
PERSEUS
Oh shit!
PERSEUS uses MEDUSA’s head to defeat the Kraken. The
kraken is defeated, which in turn weakens HADES.
CLOSING SCENE
PERSEUS meets IO after succeeding in defeating HADES’
Kraken.
PERSEUS
We did it.
IO
No. You did it.
PERSEUS
What happens next?
FADE TO BLACK.
