About
I am currently working as a bioinformatics analyst at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. I am working on the i5k project which is an initiative to sequence 500 arthropods species. My work deals with creating de-novo genome assemblies of the insects and improving existing assemblies using Illumina data and a variety of genome assemblers.
Previously, I have had opportunities to work on next-generation sequence analysis, SNP analysis, ChIP Seq data, population genetics and protein-protein interaction data analysis. I do however, have equal interest in other other areas of bioinformatics like structural bioinformatics, proteomics and more.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Languages: Python, C, C++, J.
