2. Wet areas like bathrooms and kitchens
tend to get limescale so you need to
wash this things using a limescale
remover. There are many limescale
removers for example, Viakal, Cillit Bang
etc.
You need to pay particular attention
around the Sink taps, Plug holes, Mirrors,
Shower glass door
7. As in previous picture, you need to clean underneath the cushions on sofas and plump
cushions up.
The Aim is to WOW the client when they come back so they feel that it is worth paying you
for this service. You need to have an eye for detail and neaten things and tidy up as you go
along.
SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE NEXT PICTURES.
Aim to leave nothing to be improved in your wok, rather than to do a half-hearted job. If you
do half hearted work, clients will turn away and request other cleaners. When the clidents
complain about your work we lose confidence in you and this will affect the job offers you
get.
Clients are able to tell the level of your dedication by the standard of your work and if you do
a good job you will see your job offers increasing.
15. Can you notice the difference? All items were moved off the table and the table was dusted.
Items were then reorganised according to size and it makes an amazing difference.
When you dust, you should remove all samll items and dust surfaces. Dusting round items leave
Islands of dust.
PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE PREVIOUS PICTURE AND THEN
LOOK AT THE NEXT ONE
37. In many houses you will get bathrooms
with glass shower doors as shown in this
picture.
These doors tend to limescale mainly
inside as this is the main area that gets
wet. You will need to wash this off with a
limescale remover and sponge.
After washing, you need to rinse off and
then dry off with a dry cloth.
You can finish off with a glass cleaner to
give the glass a streak free finish.
Remember please don’t leave streaky
surfaces.
38. You will find different types of vaccum cleaner.
Please familiriase yourself with these. You can
go on the google, if unsure please ask the
clients but you need also to do your homework
and make sure that you know the basics.
Some vaccum cleaners are bagless, and some
have bags. Either way, you need to make sure
that you empty the vaccum cleaners regularly.
If a vaccum cleaner is not working, most likely
it is because it’s full or blocked.
39. LIMESCALE REMOVER
There are different types of limescale
removers.
As with all chemicals you need to read
the label and know how to use it and
what surfaces to use it for.
Many damages are cause by incorrect
use of chemicals, so be extremely
careful with product use.
Examples of limescale removers are
Cillit Bang or Viakal.
40. When vaccuming also do
edges, corners and clean
behind doors
Ensure that all sinks, surfaces,
taps, glass/mirror are streak free.
No smears!!
Move things when you dust, don’t dust
around items or furniture.
Tidy up and neaten when you clean, organising items
according to size.
42. FINAL THOUGHTS
Remember if you don’t wow your clients they will request
another cleaner and cancel you!.
So aim to go the extra mile, respect their home and the
trust they have given you to come in and do the job for
them.
Your dedication will pay off in that you will be able to retain
your clients for a long period of time and we in turn will
offer you more jobs.
If you get criticised, learn from it and take it on the chin.
If your work pace is not great or ironing is poor, self teach
yourself how to do better. Practise and aim to perfect your
weaknesses. This is the only way you can improve.
