ARKRAY Awarded Urinalysis Agreement by Novation
Minneapolis, Minnesota, October 21, 2015 – U.S. ARKRAY, Inc. has been awarded a three-
year agreement for automated urinalysis with Novation. Under this agreement, members served
by Novation, which include members and affiliates of VHA Inc., UHC, Children’s Hospital
Association and Provista LLC, will have access to reduced costs and improved terms and
conditions for the AUTION HYBRID™
AU-4050 urine chemistry and sediment analyzer, AUTION
MAX™
AX-4030 urine chemistry analyzer, and related supplies and services.

2. The innovative AUTION HYBRID AU-4050 integrates proven urine chemistry testing with
advanced flow cytometry technology for the identification of formed elements within urine
specimens. The fully-automated urine analyzer consolidates these two technologies into a
space-saving design which is 30-50 percent smaller than competitive analyzers. The combined
technology minimizes the risk of missing bacteria and other critical cellular components while
analyzing patient urine specimens. The AUTION HYBRID AU-4050 is a high capacity system
that processes up to 200 chemistry samples an hour and delivers rapid turnaround times with
results in as little as two minutes fifteen seconds.
The AUTION MAX AX-4030 is a fully-automated urine analyzer that leaves the operator free to
work in other areas of the lab with a simple load and go approach. This urine chemistry analyzer
performs ten chemical analyses, color and clarity assessment, and specific gravity
simultaneously. With proven dual wavelength reflectance and proven performance of the
AUTION Sticks, this system will standardize urine chemistry testing with automation, confidence,
and reliability.
