It's been over a month since all of us at OLX People have been working remotely. Even though it hasn't been a completely unfamiliar zone for us, we have learned a few things that we would like to share.

OLX People have been working
remotely.
Even though it hasn't been a
completely unfamiliar zone for us, we
have learned a few things that we
would like to share.
3. It might sound excessive, but
over-communication can actually be the
key to making sure everyone knows
exactly what is happening in your
company.
With something as important as work
communications, it’s better to be safe
than sorry.
4.
5. You’ll be surprised how quickly work
can seep into your personal time if you
are not strict about creating
a division.
The key is to log off purposefully. Set
your Slack notifications to ignore, put
your phone on silent, and give yourself
time to relax mentally.
6. Being away from the office and coworkers
can make remote
workers feel lonely.
Use team collaboration tools to
have an ongoing conversation with your
colleagues throughout the day or maybe
set up a virtual lunch via video call to stay
connected with each other beyond work.
8. It's easier to forget to verbalize how
thankful you are for your peers' support
and hard work after a challenging day.
Encourage your team or coworkers to
recognize outstanding work among their
peers. Even a quick note in your team's
chat group to say 'Hey you all are
awesome', can go a long way.
10. Regular breaks are important for mental
balance. At the workplace, a break comes
in the form of a colleague stopping
by or a trip to the café or pantry.
In WFH, set an alarm for regular breaks for
meals, coffee, minor chores or
simply to get up and stand,
stretch or walk for a bit.
