Understand the basic concepts or theories learned in the course. 2. Apply the knowledge gained from the various topics to the assignment question. Students may use the materials available in the reference books but are also strongly encouraged to conduct research by using various investigation methods. 3. Present a written assignment in a proper, clear, interesting and logical manner. Detailed Requirements An important experiential component of the course is the completion of the report assignment. Students are encouraged to work in groups (3 students per group), to reflect on their learning. Students are required to do research by using various investigation methods. Every member in the groups is required to contribute and participate actively in the completion of the assignment. The Assignment Task 1 Students are required to conduct a study on an organization of their choice by visiting the company’s website. Then, students are required to perform the following tasks: 1.1 Identify and describe the chosen organization in the following areas: 1.1.1 The type of the business organization and its background (e.g., retail, healthcare, education, etc…) 1.1.2 The products and/or services provided by the chosen organization. 1.2 Identify Four (4) functional or departmental areas in the chosen organization (e.g., human resources department, marketing department, etc…) 1.3 Identify and briefly describe One (1) major function for each of the Four (4) department you have identified in task 1.2.
