4. Why you need to submit PAN and TAN details
• PAN: As per the requirement from Tax authorities, it is now mandatory for all sellers to provide their PAN details.
• TAN: Submission of TAN details will enable hassle free tax assessment. It will help you claim your reimbursement from
Flipkart for the TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) you deducted on Flipkart’s commission.
• Flipkart will apply for NIL Withholding Certificate * for you, once you submit your TAN and PAN details. We will also
share these certificates with you once we receive them from the Income Tax department.
* (NIL Withholding Certificate is a document provided by the Income Tax Department. This certificate will ensure that you are
not liable to deduct TDS on Flipkart's commission for the period and revenue mentioned in the certificate.)

11. Points to Remember
• The last date for updating the PAN details will be conveyed to you. Failure to update the PAN details
on or before the given date will force us to make your account pending until you submit your
documents.
• If you have your TAN details you can upload it, else leave it blank.
• Uploading TAN details is optional. However, if you do not provide your TAN details, we might not be
able to apply for a NIL withholding certificate (0% TDS) for you.
• Once the details provided by you are verified from our end and found to be correct, you will not be
able to change them.
• If your PAN details are already in our records, you don’t need to submit your PAN details once again.
