1. Allies group talk- Living staircase
The talk was with Chris March, who is the Chief Executive of Allies group, a digital marketing
company which operates local magazines around the northeast such as Newcastle’s NE1 magazine
and Sunderland’s Vibe magazine.
I learned about the media companies that are in the Northeast and the work they are doing to
facilitate the creative industries in the local area. I also learned about the opportunities available
to contribute articles to local news sources by doing things such as writing an article on something
you are interested in and creating online content. I also learned about the scarcity of media jobs
in the North of England and how competitive it is. I learned about the companies in the Northeast
which offer potential career paths in media in the Northeast
