To whom it may concern,
Hello, my name is Sean Jackson and I’ve attached a copy of my resume in an
attempt to receive consideration for the sales internship program. Currently I’m a
sophomore in college at SMCC majoring in business administration. Although I am new
to the business world I believe that I can catch on quickly due to my strong background
in English and mathematics.
My interest in business began in high school, where I graduated top 30 in a 180-
person class at Noble High School in 2014. I was also a four-year, starting, varsity soccer
and basketball player and was captain for both. Graduating with a high-class rank not
only speaks to my ability to learn quickly but also my ability to work hard. My class rank
was not limited to my ability to learn and my effort. I accomplished everything while
maintaining elite status in both basketball and soccer where I was captain for both teams.
Along with this is also kept a part-time job and had a full class schedule. Even though I
had this strenuous schedule, with all these responsibilities I persevered and achieved
success in the classroom, with sports, and with my job.
While at SMCC I have taken numerous classes while being a starter and captain
of the soccer team. These classes include but are not limited to; trigonometry, algebra,
business law and oral communications. These classes will be beneficial towards
becoming a sale professional but currently my education is limited to the classroom and
that should not be the case. With hands on experience I will be better prepared to work in
a business atmosphere and it will allow me to connect what I’ve been learning in class to
real world situations.
I am extremely capable of any task thrown my way during the internship with my
ability to learn, my effort, and my perseverance. It would be an incredible opportunity to
receive advice or guidance from qualified business professionals, while working to
contribute to your organization any way that I can. Education stems beyond the
classroom and I would be very grateful to receive the opportunities that this internship
provides.
Thank you for your consideration,
Sean Jackson
