Trump’s popularity within the US populace was there despite all the character flaws pointed. These were not minor flaws, if studied even at a note distance but the people were okay with electing Trump. Why? It’s too facile to simply call the populace as bigoted because that does not even take into account the criticism that Sanders levied against the supposed Left in US.
