Samuel “Sam” Gerson, MD, recently served as attending physician in emergency medicine, emergency ultrasound, and diving and hyperbaric medicine at the University of California - San Diego (UCSD) Medical Center. He joined the center while working as a fellow at the UCSD Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine Program. Board-certified in emergency medicine as well as diving and hyperbaric medicine, Sam Gerson, MD, is also a certified diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) and member of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). Dr. Samuel Gerson earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with cum laude honors from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
