About
Sandra M. Ketrow, professor of Communication Studies, currently researches group and family communication, with family humor anchoring one end, balanced at the other end by family decision-making during crises.
A “utility player,” she teaches undergrad and grad communication theory, communication research methods, interpersonal, group, nonverbal communication, and gender and communication. A first Technology Fellow at URI and teaching one of URI’s first online courses, she often tortures her students and others with technology trials. Dr. Ketrow tries to enhance our planet environmentally and to be more socially just, sometimes distracted by her life partner, dogs, or the ocean.
