Greetings:
For over twenty (20) plus years of County Government Service,
I have worked side by side with Judges, Attorneys, and members of our community in criminal, family and
civil cases.
Please consider this letter to be my formal application for a position within your Department.
With more than twenty (20) years of dedication, commitment and work experience with Hidalgo
County and the Judicial Court System and my most recent experiences with the District Clerk’s Office as
an Administrative Assistant Auditor, 398
th
(Criminal Court Coordinator) and 389
th
(Court Coordinator)
District Courts, I have so much to offer. Having being sought out by Honorable Judges and, the District
Clerk’s office, has been both gratifying and rewarding to me. I have never resigned from any position in
regretful terms and always with the guidance of Criminal District Attorney Rene Guerra.
I know the importance of Policy and Procedure, laws and regulations, operational budgets, ability
to analyze and evaluate information and assist in making informed decisions, having been familiarized with
all the County Departments within the Courthouse, including the District and County Courts, Auditor’s
Accounting and Grant Departments, Purchasing Department, Human Resources Department and
Treasurer’s Department, County Judge’s Administration and other departments within the County including
the Sheriff’s Office and State and Office Court Administration (TACA and OCA), TDCJ and SJ procedures.
Therefore, I am aware of the great importance of familiarizing oneself with all types of Policies
and Procedures. I am providing you with my resume, including attachments, as a first step in exploring
the possibilities of employment within your department. I am proficient in E-FLING, ODYSSEY CRIMINAL
AND ODYSSEY CIVIL, ABELTERM, Microsoft Word, XP and Excel, WordPerfect, Windows 2000, Quatro,
Lotus and Quicken QuickBooks. I honestly feel that the experiences I have gained while functioning at
these positions will allow me to immediately step into a position in your Department.
As you can see from my resume, I do have other experience besides the time I have with
Hidalgo County. I was in the construction retail business for a total of thirteen years. My final duties were
in a supervisory position, which shows I am devoted to my positions and work well with others and I have
the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other employees, officials, vendors and the
public.
I appreciate any consideration that you can give me, and I am available for an interview at your
convenience. If you have any questions, please feel free to either contact me by my mobile number or e-
mail address. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely, Dora Sallie Maldonado
