Ever since Patrick Ryan Kerrigan was a
linebacker for Purdue University, he has been
active in helping people. Now that he’s a pro
footballer, Kerrigan has done more for the
community than ever before.
A Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and a
Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year during
his final season with Purdue, Kerrigan was a
shoo-in for the NFL in 2011, as has since
proven to be a great asset for the Washington
Redskins.

foundation itself caters to the less fortunate,
the gravely ill, and children with special
needs.
Kerrigan and the Blitz for the Better
Foundation have come up with programs such
as Kerrigan’s Korners and Reindeer Rush. In
Korners, children in hospitals are given a
chance to relax and communicate through
technology. In Reindeer Rush, food and other
forms of aid are given to families during the
Christmas season.

Kerrigan and his foundation even have the
Celebrity Waiter Night in which he joins other
celebrities and pro football players, serving
guests at restaurants. Funds, of course, go to
the foundation.
Hi, Robert Mims here. I’m a huge fan of
college football, particularly the Kentucky
Wildcats and Memphis Tigers rivalry. For
