1. Competitive Edge MX Park has a long and rich heritage
of motorcycle riding. Long before CEMX was estab-
lished as a premier track in Southern California the roll-
ing hills and trails were home to motorcycle riders and
their families.
On the very spot that CEMX was conceived and built,
were hundreds of trails converged over the naturally
hilly terrain. It was this natural terrain that fired the
imagination of the CEMX crew.
With little more than a vision (and some heavy equip-
ment) the staff started shaping and sculpting what has
become a world class facility where local riders and rac-
ers practice alongside our National and International
MX hero’s. Tuning up for Supercross or the Outdoor
MX Series.
CEMX opened for business on the in October 2005. I
remember bringing my son and his friends out to CEMX
when there was only a single wide mobile trailer for
check in and a guy dropped his 2” water hose and a
shovel, greeted us signed us in and told us to be careful
and enjoy ourselves and be sure to let him know if we
needed anything. Whether it’s the friendly, helpful
staff or one of the 4 amazing tracks one thing is for
sure, CEMX is a great place to spend your time.
The investor—Mark Bellman—has turned over the day
to day operation of CEMX to Kristen Oehlhof and her
crew of equipment operators and flaggers. Everything
you experience at the track is a result of their hard
work and dedication. Mark still works at the track but
really counts on Kristen and her crew to run day to day
operations.
CEMX is OPEN 3 days a week: Tuesday, Saturday and
Sunday. From February to June is the busiest time at
CEMX so special allowances are made for camping and
additional practices because many people travel a good
distance ride the events here at CEMX.
