Welcome to June issue of Herbicides China News published by CCM International, a professional consulting company who has been
extensively and intently focusing on dynamics of China's herbicide industry.
As mentioned in last issue, current inflation resulted in the hike of chemical material prices in China, further drives up pesticide price.
However, in fact, many Chinese pesticides with compelled high price are not so welcomed among consumers in the world. It means
that the shrinking profit makes Chinese agrochemical industry depressed.
It could be predicted that many Chinese agrochemical manufacturers with weak competitiveness and small production scale will shut
down one by one in the intense competition. In the meantime, large companies with strong dominance will go on developing rapidly in
the future.
However, this trend in Chinese pesticide industry accords with Chinese government's expectation. With a series of relative polices,
Chinese government directs pesticide industry to an industrial integration. According to Pesticide Industry Policy, pesticide industry in
China should be of balance and environmental protection in the coming years.
As for Chinese agrochemical manufacturers, their M&As are also ongoing quietly. Aiming to stand stably in a long term, undoubtedly,
those agrochemical enterprises that are ambitious in China should also be stronger and more sensible in the future.
Jiangsu Huifeng witnessed sluggish performance in Q1 2011 and 2010.
Jiangsu Changqing kept smooth development in the first quarter of 2011.
Lianhe Technology's carfentrazone-ethyl capacity runs smoothly.
Jiangsu Lanfeng set out the construction of a 4,000t/a diuron technical production line in May 2011.
Shandong Binnong puts large efforts into pursuing flucarbazone-sodium.
Shandong Qiaochang's 4,000t/a MCPA plant has got local government's acceptance check of environmental protection recently.
Chinese atrazine export reached 36,656 tonnes in quantity of atrazine 100% AI, with average export price of 97% technical of
USD2,820/t in 2010.
Relatively high price and intense competition cumber diflufenican development in China.
Current drought in Central China may boost herbicide demand in next crop-planting season indirectly.
China's dicamba was still sold to overseas market primarily with total export quantity exceeding 2,000 tonnes and export price
keeping stable in 2010.
Tenglong Biological & Medicinal is running a trial of'its new 1,000t/a trifluralin production line.
Fengshan Group is running two new constructions, namely a new 5,000t/a trifluralin production line and a 400t/a quizalofop-P-ethyl
expansion.
Anilofos has small production scale in China.
Jiangsu Flag has accomplished a series of herbicide expansion construction.
Yellow phosphorus price keeps at high level in China recently.
