A business is a money service business (MSB) if it offers money orders, currency dealing or exchange, or cash services. Each MSB is required by law to have currency transaction reports, an anti-money laundering compliance program, and file suspicious activity reports. A business may be an MSB if it conducts more than $2,000 in money services with the same person in one day.
